Post subject:  Porting Ballistic Weapons to KF Help

Yes well for the past few days I've bein trying to port over a few weapons from Ballistic Weapons to Killing Floor with permission from DarkCarnivour. Anyway well I'ev tried to import the XMV-850 and the RX22A I got the RX22A to work but the XMV-850 I have some pretty heavy problems with to begin the weapon fires okay but I want to tone down the inaccuracy and recoil rate when moving, and for some reason when I try to reload it doesn't play a reload animation only when the weapon is empty plus the animation plays super fast, and lastly for some weird reason the ammo isn't shown on the hud it just shows 0

These problems are likely all related to the fact that Killing Floor uses a completely different set of functions and etc for its workings... :think:

You should start by finding the Killing Floor equivalent of the Reload() function... ;)

Then move on to the other areas...

But if the base BW weapon isn't there, who knows how it will behave!... :doh:

Yeah maybe I could combine the KF reload function with the BW reload funtion

Jack carver made BW somewhat compatible with the KF mod, but yeah I don't think that might work with the full KF game even if though I see that there is people interested to make such port since KF is pretty much a people's favorite zombie game along L4D

Well nothing is impossible and me and Hemi are finding a way around it so far we got it to drain ammo on the hud but not reload

I wrote a bunch of code which should fix this problem, I wanted to make a realistic weapon for KF so I added half reload, full reload, slide lock on the last shot, Idle Empty, Draw Empty, Holster Empty and all the rest
