Well hello there ![]() I've been working on and off with one of My friends on a KF mod, I made a new shell ejection Emitter so the shells collide. now I wanted to make it so when you fire, a bit of smoke follows the shell, now I wanted to know the best approach for this. I can place a bone at the tip of the shell in Max and Import that to the Editor but here's the problem, how the hell do you get it to eject skeletal meshes and emit from one of the bones? 2nd approach is building a second layer onto the ejection emitter with the exact same velocity so the smoke should follow. but here's the tricky part, you can save Emitters out, you can export to script, but how the hell do you make it an actor class? I've tried a few things, I gave it the package to save it into and the name for the Emitter class but nothing happened. any ideas? |

Just for the understanding, do you work on the KFMod or on the KFRetail ? If its the first, you may contact me since im doing stuff for the KFMod as well ... |

I'm on the Retail one, I was going to help with the mod but Snipe was told to stop by Ramm / TW bossy dude thingy. so he asked about continuing the mod but for the retail version, he was okay with that. |

Since when is Snipe responsible for the KF Mod development. Thought it was SUPAPLEX ? (I send to you a steam invite, we may discuss the rest there). |

I believe they share equal rights, but without snipe the development would have died ages ago |

Snipe ? wasn't the dude who was developping a mod for UT 2004 and moved to UDK ? |

I was first interested in this, but what they wanted to include wasn't my understanding of Killing Floor so i started to work on an own fork. |

This is actually very easy to do, you just need the smoke emitter to be attached to the first emitter (mesh emitter) and set its position to either relative or absolute. (I forget which.) If you contact me on Skype I can give you a basic tutorial. |
