Stuff like that new cool game on that Ice Planet with aliens and pirates. A robot with 2 legs, 2 arms with miniguns. Rocketlauncher on his shoulder and ofcourse the open cockpit so you can shoot the driver down with a very well placed shot. Like it?

Hmm... very interesting. Me and my bro have been playing MechWarrior4 Mercenaries (with some incredibly awesome add ons recently downloaded), so I got an idea what you're talking about. check your PM box soon.

I would guess mechanical bipeds like those in Mech Warrior, Armored Core, Front Mission and Metal Gear would be sorta acceptable in BW... But... those Wapanese Mechas that fly around, do unrealistic battles and blow entire planets into space dust...!? HELL NO. It wouldn't work. |

This has been suggested before, basicly a manned robot that has an exoskeletal look. I'd love to see this as long as the robots aren't overly sized. They don't need to be much bigger than the player. |

You're talking about power armor then. I personally love both power armor and huge mechs. Not entirely sure what I like better, I think I'd prefer both.
And yes, those lame japenese ones have nothing on an Atlas or Mad Cat.
I can't stand those ones. I don't want some fancy little show 'mech to kill someone with, I want something that looks like a tank with legs. And those aren't pretty. They're mean looking.

But I guess the amount of beating it can take and the powerful weapons will balance that nicely. |

Exactly, but I'm more of a light 'Mech pilot myself, while still big compared to power armor, they are much more agile, at the expense of armor and firepower. Although I can't really say I think anything more than power armor would really fit into PA... |

I kinda like the animal sounds that the newest Metal Gear types have in MGS4... It just gives you a creepy feeling that something bad is about to happen to you. |

Look out, I'm about to go completely off-topic. Mechwarrior is the best series of battlemech sims ever. Hands down. With the exception of the incredibly stupid console games they've published over the last couple years. If I could have any game of my choice start development with unlimited funding right now, it would be mechwarrior 5. My personal favorites. . . Raven - 360 Torso plus loads of speed plus some LRMS = awesome. Loki = A medium mech with good sensors, ecm, and two light gauss rifles. Heck of a sniper mech. Thanatos - Awesome brawler mech, again with a 360 torso. Mad Cat MkII - Death Incarnate Atlases are awesome, but they draw too much fire, because everyon'es terrified of them. Same for the Daishi. |

Thanatos is a good anti-lightweight 'mech due to its 360 twist, but I prefer the Brigand. Its only a 25 ton mech, but its got great speed (not quite as fast as an Uller though), jump jets, and can take a massive beating for its size. Plus it just makes for some sweet screenshots with my Brigand jumping over my bro's crouched Uller, laying down heat on an overheated Atlas, my lasers blasting, and then finishing off the jump by skipping off the head of the assault mech.

At the game serie Earth 2150 there are biped robots too. For ballistic they should be just twice the size of a player and multiple versions. So one with miniguns, and one with rocketlauncher, or one with both

Runestorm can try making a simple mech that looks like the laser turret on legs, and when they get the hang of it, go for the AC style mechs, because those are intricate in my point of view. |

More like a giant robot, and less like a giant walking tank. |

I'm not saying it should be EXACTLY like ACs, since there should be a cockpit you can shoot to kill the pilot and all, but here's my favorite AC: Nineball. Sorry if the image is too big.[br][br] |

In addition to that, ACs actually have a lot more complex stuff than Gundam. Like, for example, each part is fully customizable, and each part helps to increase or decrease the abilities of your own AC. By the way, Xavious, I can type out a little parts list for you if you need it. NO, It is NOT an index of all the parts in the game! |

Doesn't look too wimpy, but I'd say a Fafnir looks way more impressive... Uh... why would I need a parts list...? |
