Post subject:  "Infection" style game mode?

I just tried "Repulse" a mmo-fps hosted by Aeria gmaes, and it has a neat game mode , 2 players are randomly chosen to be "Hosts" they have a melee and a ranged attack(grenade-like with tiny radius) and super health(like 5-10x normal) anyone they kill turns into a "zombie"-like minion with only melee attacks humans win if at least 1 survives the length of the round(5-10 mins)

my Q?> how hard would it be to include this game type into UT2004? :)(: espicialy for ofline botplay?

I haven't had much luck getting it to work in UT2004, but I don't know much about gametype code. I would love it too. Halo has pretty much the same gametype with the same name, a hell of a lot of fun. If someone could code it up I wouldn't mind animating/coding up a set of zombie arms for the zombie's attacks.

Well, eiter you or Sgt.Kelly has already done that(BPack v9's Fists), they just need a little recoloring, as to the coding, i not sure, but it seems like loking at MeowCat's "YARM SP Enemies and the "Mutant" gametype from vanilla UT2K4 would have most of the code you need , MeowCat's SP enemies mutator cause Zombies to spawn when a player dies, If you know how to Contact him he may be able to code the gametype

Nah, punching wouldn't work for a zombie, they gotta be clawing and ripping! And have something for a ranged attack probably.

But its not really as simple as just taking one and combining it with another, I'm afraid. But if you were to get in contact with someone that would be interested in coding up the game type, send them this way and we can probably do a bit of collaberation with them.

unfortunatley i can not remeber my info for beyondunreal's or epic's forums which is where meowcat is active, but if you'all could recruit him into the BW community i think his work would fit in well here(YARM and tango down vehicles) :)(:
