First of all, I would like to say "Hello again runestorm!" I could just hug you guys now, it's been too long since I have visited this site. But I must get to the point. I was playing AC: Last Raven. Then, when I figured out some of the Ravens are independent with no alligence, I said, "Hey, this would make a sweet game!" Main concepts: No teams at all. Each player is independent and has a home core. there are many other neutral zones around the map. The players fight over these nodes to access the enemy core and destroy it. If your core is destroyed, you will respawn as a friendly player to the player who blew up your home base at his core in the next death. The last player who has all cores destroyed except for his is the winner. But, you can set the rules so each warlord group has multiple players on it. There are vehicles, but if possible, make a screen the group leader can activate, and do the following things: Leader Panel: You can assign a player an assignment and they can choose to accept or decline your request. You also have a recon button that allows you to send a weaponless recon craft in a scouting route and leave afterwards. This can be destroyed by opposition however. Then, you also have a vehicle drop button. It teleports any friendly empty vehicle to a designated spot. Good if you have an element of surprise and need more threatening fire power. Other Functions: Leaders can resign their positions, and the most powerful player besides the resigned leader can take the spot. If a team does not have a leader for a certain amount of time, the group will disband, get new cores, and can start over. It sounds exciting and all, but I'm skeptical about it. |

Interesting. Sounds a bit like a maniac mod we made fo UT99 called "Conversion". When you kill someone they are forced onto your team. If you kill lots of people you became a "Lord". This would give you more powers. If your team is massacred, the last team member was made a "WarLord". This dude was really tough and usually resonsible for bringing the team back. Freshly fragged people converted to a new team would be "Peons" which had disadvantages and were basically the fodder of the whole game... Eventually when only one team was left they win. |

Oh yes, noticing DO's sig, I remembered about or magnum... It behaves realistically and if you fire some of your six shots, you will get empty chambers even though iut may still have live ones... It makes an annoying click, then goes to the next chamber... Happens if you fire double, then single, etc... Think about it, you'll see what I'm saying... Usually the punk is not lucky... Although he might just be with our mag... |

I was actually wondering how you were going to manage that with the revolver. I'm glad you're doing it the realistic way instead of the convenient way. Must've been a pain to code it to keep track of each slot, though. |
