Post subject:  Paint.net Tutorial

Im very bored to i've decided to make a paint.net tutorial:
So starters paint.net is a program that allows you to edit images similar to microsoft paint, so you may be wondering why the hell do we need a tutorial, it's simple, because its got more features than you think, so first:
.download Paint.net here: http://www.dotpdn.com/downloads/pdn.html

now second thing were going to do is edit an image
Image

this one is a flower, so you know how to draw on it and fill it in, next were going to learn a way to change its colour the easy way first go to adjustments tab at the top then click on Hue/saturation

Image

now you can change the flowers colour easily without colouring it in, so next is complicated but Very useful, were going to transfer this flower onto another image using layers

so first choose another image im choosing the flames of hell

Image

first of all you ned to get rid of the picture surrounding the flower so click on the magic wand tool, and watch out for the tolarance, if you set it too high it will delete the flower too, so first see what colour is surrounding your flower if the main colour is white and the other colour is red then you can easily get rid of it but if you colour is grey or dark then it will be harder so anyway set the tolerance to about 40 and click on the the colour you want to delete a box should come up displaying the area you want to delete make sure it isnt in the image you want

Image

sometimes the wand cant distinguish one image from the other because of blur, so go into effects in the top tab and go down to photo, and click on sharpen then your image will become clearer and easy to delete around

if you want you can also get rid of the scraps by the good o'l rubber ;D

now its time to ge that image onto your other image first you go to window at the top tab and click on layers if its already ther then don't

then click on a small box at the bottom left of the layers window its a window with a grenn plus sign on it, then click on the new layer the new be that appears and copy your second image onto it, the flames in my case

Image

OMG! it covers the flower, no actually it dosnt the flower and the flames are on different layers the next part will show you how to make the flower and the flames combine first double click on layer 2 a box will apear showing transparency and types of transparency, open the box saing mode and scroll down to differece this will let the flames and the flower be shown together then finally its time to make it not look photoshopped to do that click on your first layer, the flower
and go to effects and blurs ad click on radial blur withou doing anything let it process the image and there you go but last but not least its ime to join both layers do tha by going to the image tab and clicking on flatten or just simply press ctrl+shift+F

there you go, and the end result should be

Image

i hope you enjoyed my tutorial, the reason i use paint.net is because you can mod with it because it is capable of opening .dds files (.DirectDrawSurface)

Thank you for reading my tutorial and goodnight! ;D

P.S next time i will have a treat for you who own just cause 2, that right a tutorial on how to mod it!!

NEW TUTORIAL
---------------

Im going to show you how to make very good logo's, first im going to make a gun logo

NOTE YOU MUST REMEMBER IF YOU EXTRACT IMAGES OF THE WEB MAKE SURE THERE NOT COPYRIGHTED
you CAN get into trouble for doing that
That's The first thing my I.C.T Teacher Taught me

SO anyway start with an image i suggest a gun
Im using a berretta now we have to make our Logo look appealing not just to us but to others, we also have to make our logo have a message such as don't kill or Guns kill, to make our logo as appealing as possible we use psychology, we think of others like an old woman who dosnt like guns to a man who is trigger happy we make the logo, say to people that guns are safe and that guns are deadly, so lets start

First find your first image
Image
Now we have to add a background use the infomation on layers of the first tutorial to make a background that is appealing, we have to make it stand out from the rest so i catches peoples eye, so say the logo is at a train station we dont want the logo to match the walls we want the opposite, so im going to add a Green colour to this, the reason im adding green is because people often think green is good because green is the colour of plants and nature
however if you and red then red is the colour of blood so people will be drawn away from it this is very hard because certain people have certain likes and dislikes so you can never get 100% right, im going to each you how to get alot of likes out of one logo.

so im going to add my green colour to my gun

the next thing you must do is not make it so bland try adding effects through the effects tab remember to keep the green on a different layer or you risk damaging the gun

now you must add a question to your logo this is very important, and he best results is to add a yes no answer like this GUNS KILL are YOU a gun? this way the reader makes up his mind on this question without adding a sentence this way your logo is a success even if your reader thinks about it you have a success

the best way to make a logo look good is if i stands out and makes people think about it one last thing you must do is make he logo look fully used you can now add bullets to your picture and a bit of blood, the blood represents the aftermath of gun use.

so now add your effects first blur it then as optional you can go to photo in the effects tab and make it glow i will make it more appealing

now you've added your bullets and blood its time for the most important the writing it's very important you don't use the wrong font or type of writing, the reader will go off the thing he see's if it dosn match the logo he will dismiss it so for my logo im adding italcs as well as bold and the font is segoe script i think this matches the logo last but not least you must add a secondary colour to your green

Im choosing cyan i will focus this colour into the middle of my logo and then i will blur it first blur it with unfocus it then i will uise motion blur to finish it off

then you can flatten it through the image tab or simply use ctrl+shift+F

So you've made your own Logo, use this demonstration wisely.
the finished logo

Enjoy ;D

Not a bad tutorial mate. You could shrink the images a tad so that users don't have to scroll to the bottom, then across, then back up to view the pics; but if that is your only crime then I'm not going to complain too loudly ~.^

Mal

P.S You talk about breaches of (c) but leave the Fallout logo on your task bar... nothing wrong with it legally, but amuses me x3

1. thank you capt xavious, im glad you like my tutorials ;D

2. fallout logo is fine, you breach the copyright by either modifying the logo and saying is yours or claiming the games yours
putting the image on your desktop is fine sometimes the game company pays you for it

Thanks a lot for the tutorial! I will spread the word! Nevertheless, I wanted to raise one more issue over here. It's all about colors which are all around us! What impact does it really have on our final decisions, moods, emotions, and behaviors? http://skywritingservice.com/blog/impact-of-color-psychology-on-us

Thanks a lot for the advice. Not so long ago I have downloaded paintnet from this website https://yumdownload.com/paintnet And I can say with certainty that your instructions were very detailed and with their help I was able to understand absolutely easily with this program. Thank you!
