It's a level I'm trying to base a bit off of Crysis. Basically, it's a small island with a crapload of trees and grass (beware, it'll slow computers down!) and some good ol' sunlight (UT2004 style sun, not Crysis level of sunlight!). Screenshot? My signature gives one small bit of what one bit looks like.

Oh, and I got an image larger than 100 px tall for a siggy! :yahoo:

Not really... it's 2 images.

This will be great for that redeemer arena thing I've been screwing around with.

In the long run, would it be possible to make the trees collapsible?it would be more like crysis, and I could use my carlauncher to go stomp around in a epsilon weapons walker.

As the trees you see right now, you'd drive right through them, as they are painted on with the decorations layer. HOWEVER, if I can create a tree in Maya (with destruction points included), I could potentially whip up something akin to destroyable trees. It'd be hella bad on your computer with so many trees but... at least you know it'd be like some sort of Crysis Tournament 2004. :P

Maybe a option to effect whether the trees can react or not, also maybe trees are inert until something drives at them, then they go all physics, pretty.

Maybe you could also have the trees become akin to a ragdoll when driven over, then afterwards they despawn, that would reduce the load on the PC greatly.(I think)

Too bad I used the deco layer tool to layer on the trees.... but I have now made the area extremely lush in random vegetation. Walking through it, I killed my frame rates.... when I'm playing on some decently low settings. It looks pretty nice, minus the Hall-Of-Mirrors effect since I set the fog a bit too far... :glare:

Meh,I trust your machine is pretty top notch?

If so,my plans of ravaging the place in a Epsilon are never going to bear fruit.
