Post subject:  Welcome to me.

Hey, figured I might as well finally get around to posting myself here.

I'm 18, live in a pleasant little province of the US known as Idaho, where I live on a horse ranch. I just graduated from high school this year. I attended high school at a classical education charter school, where I studied history, philosophy, government, etc. along with all the usual sunjects like english, math, and whatnot. I am extremely conservative, and think that 99% of the stuff modern governments do is garbage that could be taken care of by private buisness, if the government would get it's greedy claws off of it. I believe that the purpose of government is to keep it's people free, not safe, which is contrary to what modern government today does.

I do a lot of sports, but none of the usual junk like football, baseball, soccer, and so on. I play paintball, joust on horseback, and I'm a decent swordsman, having placed 12th in the nation at the recent national tournament in Atlanta, Georgia, in the classic duelling sword, the "Epee". Think three musketeers.

I"m a Sci-Fi fan, I own nearly every episode of Star Trek on DVD, and can answer nearly any trivia on Star Trek. I think that arguments between Star Trek and Star Wars are silly scince Star Wars isn't Sci-Fi, it's fantasy in a Sci-Fi seting. And i think George Lucas has an unhealthy obsession with Transition effects. But Star Trek is not the best Sci-Fi series ever. That honor goes to Firefly, and incredible series that was tragicall cancelled after 14 episodes, due to the stupidity of FOX network executives. Me, and thousands of other "Browncoats" aka Firefly fans, along with the dedication of Joss Whedon, creator of Firefly, helped to create the recent motion picture "Serenity".

I've been a gamer scince I can remember, and I grew up learning to navigate and operate DOS at the same time as learning to speak. These days the games I play most are (in order) UT204:BW, Battlefield2, Elder Scrools IV: Oblivion, Dawn Of War: Winter Assault, and C&C Generals: Zero Hour, with the excellent Shockwave mod. I own in excess of 50 other games, 30 or so of which will run on modern computers with current DirectX versions, and I try not to neglect any of them (even the stuff running on the likes of the Doom95 engine) for more than a month at a time, though, so I keep a lot of variety in what I play.

That's all I've got time for now, but I'll answer any questions in detail sure to bore you all to death. Thanks!

HalfLife 2's graphics were average, but an excellent game. But it started getting really boring in Anticitizen One. Then went back to be fun when inside the citadel.

Sure, it was fun, which is because they did fun things with a great engine, but the game wasn't as deep or challenging as the original HalfLife.

HalfLife is simply the best game of the series, it was more entertaining than HalfLife 2. But I have to admit that HL Opposing Force is a very very good game as well.

I don't know why you didn't put Serious Sam 2 into the FPS category, but a good list though.

Isn't Whiplash a very old game? I think I remember playing it on my old 266 Mhz Pentium 1.
