I read that you're planning to package some maps with BW 2.5. Be aware that all of the official RS maps (Beach, Canal, Depot and Guardian) cause the level switch crash bug on Linux servers. This is usually caused by using the Emitter Editor to create Emitters and can be solved by removing all the Emitters from the map. |

This would be more likely to get noticed if addressed to the creators of the maps (the RS devs) via Private Message than if posted in the public forums. There is not much we, the community, can do regarding map inclusion in an official content patch. |

If i'm reading this right, you'd like us to delete all emitters from our maps? How do you play any maps with a bug like that? |

Well, I just delete all the emitters from volatile maps and save them with [F] appended to the name. Reason I mentioned it is because it took me three months of my old Assault server crashing to identify how to fix this issue and there's still no known true fix, so it will save any other Linux server admins running your maps some pain. Thanks Sgt. Kelly, I will PM next time. |

It would be a better approach and least inconvenient for the vast majority if you fixed up the maps you run by yourself. This bug is Epic's responsibility and you should rather point your inquiries to them for a definite fix or at least a workaround. |

Yeah, I have no problem with that, and it's what I've had to do for about 30 or so maps on the Assault server as well. Was merely a notification of convenience. |
