i play a server with ballistic weapons mod and i got some requests for ballistic knives. i hope this is possible.

What were doing now is making more guns.

The Flash Dart on the Xmk5 is the closest thing to a ballistic knife, physically speaking.

I'm not sure why you'd need a ballistic knife when you can throw 11 X3s in less than 2 seconds.

EDIT: Seriously, you can spit out these knives faster than any of the semi-auto weapons shoot bullets. Faster than the M925 Machine gun, even. This is pretty silly.

The only possible improvement on the knives/swords/bayonets would be if you could thrust and hold/incapacitate your victims.

I'm planning on sticking a bayonet on the Bonus Pack V10's AK-490 Soviet Rifle.

And since it will most likely be launchable, BW will have its very own gun-mounted Ballistic Knife!!11! (Anyone here ever play Perfect Dark: Zero?)

Why launch a knife at a guy when you can just shoot him?

This gun was obviously made by the same brilliant scientists who gave anti-tank rifles the ability to blow up in spectacular explosions.

Well if you shoot someone with a bullet, you no longer have the bullet to stab them with. Plus a ballistic knife is all silent like.

Trust me, the less you think about it, the more sense it makes.

I find this a weak statement, thats pretty much the same as 'y now just shoot him instead of running him over in a tank?'

The main thing why is, it adds more fun into the game, sure u can just shoot him. But this is UT, u can make people die in so many glorious ways.

Stabbing is allways more gratifying, Its like darting them.
You could even call it a bitch slap.

I wasn't being sarcastic. There really aren't many reasons for a ballistic knife in the first place really, even in that real life thing. But who cares?

Yea ur right, there's nut much of a point, but wutever, if its there its there.

In actuality, its rather or not someone here is willing to model the knife, animate it, texture it, and code it in.
