Hi,

I've recently begun playing UT2004 again and it's good! There is room for improvement, hovever. I never really liked the shieldgun that comes with the game and I do not like the feeble assault rifle so I have searched the net for replacements and found the Ballistic Weapons, the 4Knife and the assault pistol looking like nice replacement for the "offenders".

Avast! I cant make it work the way I want it to! I want to replace the shieldgun and assault rifle with the 4knife and assault pistol respectively and then keep the rest of the UT2004 Vanilla weapons, is this possible? I can make the mutator spawn the mod's new weapons, and play around with them, reloading and such, but the spawns are random and I cannot control it which is a real bummer, let me tell you that! As for my mutators I'm using the Air-something-view(third person view part), species stats plus, enpowered Assult rifle and the RipJack.

So, is this possible and if so could somebody help/guide me through the process? Can this be combined with the RipJack weapon mutator as well?

You should try Swaptool (get it from here, under tools: http://www.winkyboy.com/)

It lets you replace weapons the way you like and keep standard weapons too. The same with vehicles aswell if you want. ;)

By default, Ballistic Weapons will handle very differently from standard weapons. The mod can be considered a total overhaul of weapon mechanics. If you want BWs to act as standard weapons, be sure to disable recoil, inaccuracy and reloading.
