[FINAL EDIT]-I found the problem. Apparently, the Mod was looking for the thor and the pitbull, neither of which I had, which caused the mod to not continue the rotation- I gotta stop posting, else I'd get my butt kicked. ![]() [EDIT 3] I should jump off a cliff, the MRT6 AND the G5 are there. [EDIT 1]The following was when I played this mod for the first time, The freeze up's are gone(ish), but the missing G5/MRT6 and the awkward hands are still a hinderance Quote: Unfortunately for me, this mod did not meet my expectations for a runestorm mod when I tried it out, incomplete or not.
First off, I had massive freeze up's with this mod, primarily when the weapons get rotated to a different set. Another (Major) flaw is that some weapon's failed to show up at all. (MRT6, G5, etc.) (at least, I was playing and I saw ammo pickup's but no weapon!) Also, I tried summoning the weapon with a copy/paste from the config file, didn't work summon UT3_BallisticWeapons.RSBWWeap_MRT6Shotgun Though I can live with this next flaw, it looks horrid. The arm's don't extend down to the edge of the screen, looking as if there was a floating arm! D: I'd give this mod more praise, but sadly, there is little to be found here. I am sorry to Runestorm for making this post, for I have always been fond of the mod's they produce. Compared to their other mod "The Crucible", this mod doesn't really show anything spectacular, and not to mention bug infested with some of the Serious flaw's I have found. I'll be surprised if this make's it to semi-finals or whatever they call it now-an-days. ![]() |

I'm fairly sure there are some issues. It is not meant as a their main work, just a simple port of BW. Yeah, I had the freeze up's as well. It has something to do with the way UT3 caches things. I had it with the crucible pack as well, just seemed worse with BW UT3, but better once all weapons etc. had been used for a bit. |

Bear in mind wup, that alot of the stuff that made 04 mod fun was the options, which this UT3 BW lacks as of now. Granted, snipers still have scope secondary's, but the other weapons currently lack secondary's. Also, you need the pitbull and the thor LG inorder for the mod to work (Properly). ![]() |

Right... I liked this, but it's buggy. When I was testing it out, my sound teared up and it kept lagging really badly, and mind you, I have a high quality computer. But it was really good, the D49 was awesome. |

Please keep in mind that this was not the focus, they were very, very busy with Crucible when they ported this. Updates will probably come, but Crucible has top priority right now. ![]() I'm kinda wondering if UT3 would even support all the options BW on UT2 had, seeing as UT3 tends to not like flexible modding for the most part. |

BW WITH BLOOM! ![]() i just played it. it has some bugs, but it's nice to play them. Is there a way to make some of the guns spawn with the Crucible weapons? I think that the Katana and knife would be good for CW matches too. I laughed when I noticed that the Pistol-shotgun became a personal disintegrator(it removes the bot from the match... ![]() It's sad that they don't have the same options like in UT2004, but the weapons were designed for UT2004 anyways. UT3 needs more crucible now. with time I think that it will replace BW. you know, BW also started kinda small and see what we have today. And when RS ported it? they ported it some time ago and decided to release it now or it was a few days ago they ported it? by the way, any chances for these new guns to be "Heallvened©"? like the SMG becoming a Crucible weapon? The Basilisk looks like a heavily modified ( Heallvened© ) Pitbull, that why I'm asking. and now that I think of it, will BWCommunity support this port? maybe we could help develop this port. like adding alt-fires. or maybe wait until CW gets more features, like ironsights, so that we can put in BWUT3 too. |

Well I always said look @ Gears of War when you consider the gore factor, so Bloody Hell could easily be waaay more awesome in UT3 than it could ever of been in UT2k4. |

Indeed, there is a lot of new potential gory features in UT3, like a more sophisticated dismembering system, per-polygonal hit detection, impact marks on player models (!!!), etc. |

Well obviously bloom makes everything better! In actuality, many of the guns look very weird with bloom. When the minigun is firing at full speed, it just turns white at the tip. |

I'm getting huge freezeups as well. Can someone confirm that the way to fix them is to install the pitbull and thor? Oh, and thanks a buttload for the port Runestorm! Imma play this shit outa this ![]() Will you keep working on it or is this just a one-off sort of project? |

I was actually joking on UT3 exaggerated bloom. UT3 characters are always crying. ![]() even though I know that you guys don't support it, I think that you should release a patch, since the Pistol-shotgun(I still don't remember the name!) removes the pawn from the map... entirely. I guess that it is why it crashes sometimes. |

I had both installed, and I'm not just getting freezes, but also crashes, unarmed spwawning, and probably other crap as well. ![]() |

There are quite a couple bugs in this release. I was about to start reporting when I found out the public version was out. Hopefully they wont have too much of a negative impact. |

I knew i'd be controversial ![]() This is almost all BE's work. DC helped out with code in the last few days. We asked BE if he wanted to do this, and could enter it into the MSUC. Keep in mind, that jsut because the guns had features in 2k4, it does not mean it's just a case of moving them over into the new engine. The new engine is completely diffirent! Same goes with GORE everyone! And once again, gore will come later! If this goes further than it currently is, remains to be seen. It's up to BE mainly, unless he'd rather work on something else ![]() |
