First off, I had a computer repair guy repair my computer to save me the trouble (Was in Uni).

Anyway, the guy put the PSU upside down, so it overheated and Blew. I think.

Anyway, now my PC wont start, but my GPU light and MOBO light are still on.


What do you think?

Well that suks.... you should've whacked the guy with a hammer.

Anyway one thing I can say is that you better call the guy's owners and tell em about it.

If they don't offer help then you better find a better PC repair shop.
Did you at least got equal to the cost of ur old Power Supply Unit?

Errors happen, but it really should be their responsibility to fix these errors(FOR FREE) if its done on their part.
Of course not many care about it though, so you better be careful who you hire.

Alright heres wut you should do IMO...
On the note of the PC itself, since its the Power Supply Unit that is most likely broken, you can try replacing it with a new Power Supply Unit.

Like comon, what in his little head of his would put a powerbox upside down? You ALWAYS put it where the fan shows on top!!!

The CPU might be dead I think, it might have received an overflow of electricity, but I'm not sure about that. or if worse the whole MOBO has been burned out.

PS: sorry for the bad english but I think there is a need to check cpu. the fact there is a light or not doesn't indicate a good or bad state, because I once burned out an electronic circuit board and the light worked out but the circuit didn't worked at all.

That would be a worse case scenario if the whole Motherboard is fried, only adds to the cost of replacement...

Well to prevent a disaster like this from happening again, you should always inspect the PC to make sure everything is in their proper positions after some guy messes with it.

If the mobo light is on then it's not fried.

Hey I was just postin wut I thought would help.
It may not be directly related to the PC itself, but hopefully it would help considering the way the problem was caused by.

Look If everything is sorted out though, then thats good, you don't have to worry about that then. IMO I was worried they didn't do anything about it. You know how businesses are these days...

And I really don't want to get into any conflict, so please lets keep this on good terms.

Anyway, if its the PC itself you want to know about, then the only way to find out is to check it out once that new PSU arrives. Hopefully nothing else is damaged. No promises though.
In a computer EVERYTHING is very sensitive to incorrect voltages and amperage. An incorrect soldering in the PSU, or a PSU that malfunctions can cause a shortage of circuit. A faulty or broken PSU can kill the Motherboard, The processors, the CPU's and all the HDDs at once, that can happen!
This is due to the fact the PSU powers everything else in the machine, theretofore its connected to everything else in the machine, obviously.
That being said, if the PSU broke, its possible everything else broke.... though that would be awful.
