The Longhorn is back!

I like the western-like style you applied to it, with the engravings and the used-looking metal. But in my opinion the wood at the foregrip should be a tad bit darker to fit with the style better.

I also like the faces on the grenades. Did you adopt that from the Flak Gun?

Haha yep, the grenades are FLAK cannon styled.

Anyway, this beaut is pretty much done! It's a combination of brass, iron, wood, and steel, and it kicks a lot of butt. This gun is also already animated and coded up and is a blast in game.

Man I love this gun. And it will not function like a boring grenade launcher either.

Eh, it's not really shooting flak cannon style grenades. I can honestly say there really isn't anything much like this in UT2004 except maybe in some mod I don't know about.

The longhorn is a large caliber lever-action rifle capable of firing everything from solid slugs to fragmentation grenades. This heavy duty hunting rifle first entered combat with the UTC Silver Ranger Division based in New Arizona. Outnumbered and outgunned, they had lost the battle of Phoenix Dam to the rebelling separatist groups. As the hostiles marched towards the colony's atmospheric stabilizer, they were continually dogged by the Rangers who had armed themselves with Longhorns filled with explosives and shrapnel. The lever-action launcher was easy to use and reliable and the rangers inflicted heavy casualties on the separatists before the stabilizer was lost and the colony compromised. Today, it is still in use with the Silver Rangers and is often loaded with powerful X2 SMRT Tandem-Cluster Grenades.

The Longhorn sounds sweet, correct me if i am off here, but it sounds like it is the flak cannon version of the bulldog

Other than being an explosive weapon, its not much like the bulldog. And maybe you could say its like the flak cannon, but its only so in a very, very limited limited way. This thing is still a grenade launcher.

This weapon definitely has a certain learning curve to it, that much I will say.

And another nice weapon with the Runestorm Ballistic Weapons quality!

Well you can take a look at the Prototypes pack. That is more or less what we have planned for v10. We may not make all the weapons in there and we may change them or add different ones, but its a good look at whats planned.
