I'm already a big enough dick to my bots. I have a text file that summons about 30 weapons (most of them Ballistic weapons). I execute it , grab the weapons, then execute a second one that kills all the pickups I just summoned so they can't use them against me. I also have a mutator that prevents dropped weapons courtesy of the awesome guys on the Epic forums.

And soon, I will get to add to my arsenal with these beauties... damn. I can't wait.

For me, can't wait to frag bots with the Longhorn, muah ha ha!

i am just hoping the plasma pistol (the one that looks like it came straight out of marathon) from the prototypes package makes it into v10 :)(:

I actually just started modeling it, with any luck it will be animated next month.

I been watching the progress of this weapon pack for the past year or so and from the few videos I seen Sgt. Kelly post on showing off some of the new guns and his awesome FEAR Replica voicepack in the most recent video I can't wait to mess around with that Gauss Rifle and it's new modes then the beta one that just about everybody here has. I hope/wonder if reflect mode the rifle has does what I think it does and if it does I'm gonna no sell the bots spam attacks when they make it rain Pineapples and the like thanks to Infinite Ammo switched on.

And I see the Vindicator GL (my favorite Grenade Launcher out of the two in the prototypes pack) has become even awesome by being turned in to the Longhorn GL with it's beefy cocking noise that sounds like I herd that sound from somewhere before but I can't remember where. On the topic of Grenade Launchers was wondering if you guys are still going to use the 6 shot China Lake looking GL for something or did you combine the two to make the Longhorn.

I can't wait for this new shipment of weapons to get shipped out as everybody has been saying already I can't wait to be a cheap ass towards the bots.

We have another grenade launcher planned that will be based off something completely different, with designs inspired on a real world gun that is distinctively not a grenade launcher.

So it'll be a fictional gun based loosely off a real non-GL gun.

BTW the Longhorn really isn't the Vindicator in any way, its just something I made completely unrelated to anything you seen in the prototypes package.

As far as the SRS-Mod2, well, we're considering something to be done. Easy solution would be add something like an EOTech sight, but we're considering the possibility of changing the model some.

Yeah, the Longhorn is separate from the Vindicator and Conqueror. The Conqueror and Vindicator may be cut from V10 unless we can get some models.

The SRS Mod 2 will likely get an EO Tech sight in place of its really obstructive iron sights.

Wasn't there a model for one of the grenade launchers already? (I think the conqueror) It had an underslung barrel-like magazine IIRC.

But I agree on the SRS-M2. The sight it just too narrow, I always need to take the gun down and look for the target between shots so I can see if it is still running into the same direction...

When the SRS-M2 gets EOTech sights, will it get full auto fire by then like the stock SRS ?

Yeah, there was a GL model floating around, but it would have taken a lot of work to make usable for BW. Its just easier to make our own thing, plus we like custom designs lots.

@Grum I'm not really sure why the SRS Mod2 would get full auto by adding EOTech sight to it; the fact that its semi-auto only is what makes it different from the SRS-900.

EOTech Sights fitting more on Full-Auto imo. So since the SRS 900 wont get changed for sure, i would suggest that maybe the SRS-M2 get Full-Auto instead. The Main Difference between the SRS-900 and SRS-M2 is the techy scope and the silencer. With Autofire and EOTech Sights, the SRS-M2 would be the brutal and solid brother of the SRS-900 and an alternative to the SAR-12.

Edit: Right now, the weapon isn't a real follower of the SRS-900 for me because all the benefits of the SRS-900 got removed and no new benefits were added.

I think the weapon should always be select-fire and equipable with a silencer, not just when the game feels like it.

How I wish I could use Blender proper because I kind of have an idea on what a finished Vindicator could look like. Already using the Redwood Coach Gun model it reminds me of the Gernade Launcher from the old James Bond game The World is Not Enough called the GL 40. Just it only fires one round and the Vindicator fires two.

And from the sounds of what I been reading I can guess quite a few of the prototype weapons are going to be cut as well then just the two other Grenade Launchers from the final pack.

Oh well I backed up the prototype weapons mod so no skin off my back if none of my favorite Weapons of Mass Destruction don't get an official release I can always use the prototype pack and adjust what shows up in battle according.

For toggle-able crouching, you might want to try YARM, at adds extra player options like toggle crouch and prone, but I am unsure of the extent in which the two (BW and YARM) play well together.

YARM has some pretty damn fun BW friendly game types though.

there is a workaround to use BW weapons while playing yarm, Weaponstuff(can be found on UTZone.de) it'll just require a little trial and error on which weapons you replace with what

They weren't capitalized, so I did that and added BWBPprototypes (As there's only one I use atm, the CAWS) and it all started working fine. The odd bit was it worked occasionally, so I don't know what it did.

Also, as far as feedback, do you have a concept for the CAWS? or is it up for grabs? I don't know if game mechanics work to allow this, but I thought it would be kinda neat. Instead of 4 shot cannisters and deadfire shell, why not have an increased ammo cap and have a ... lack of better term, heat bar. Heat bar is % chance that your next round will blow in chamber killing your face off? Kinda like the BFG's overload, but variable when it can happen.

Also, are there any V10 weapons you'd like me to look at specifically? my wife's on a UT kick with me, so we've been playing a bit of it suddenly. She REALLY likes the G5. I had no idea it could lock on to targets.
