I get my parts from all over the place, though it has parts that are 8 years old and parts that are 1 month old so there's always something that's ready to die.

Your source for parts makes no sense. Do you not get new stuff? I'm presuming you know your way around hardware, and thus where to find good new stuff that won't die on you.

Also, for what weapons to use, do what I did. Make a 1vManybots conflict on CTF maps, 1v1 joust. Make all weapons available for you, get rid of the lightning gun and AM67 for them, and get rid of respawn times and wait times, pick a gun, see how many you can kill with it. I quickly found what guns I liked and which i didn't or the ones that work well when there's only 2-3 guys left. Plus you can loot all the choices they made and use those too. It's also a challenge to survive 1 vs. 32.

I didn't say I buy 8 year old parts! My current computer is a personally built frankenstein that updates with time, which I assume is common practice for PC upgrading. For the most part it uses new tech, but it has a couple old relics in it like 225GB hard drives and what not. I buy new stuff for it when the old stuff breaks.

The 5 year old motherboard is the one that's starting to show its age. It probably doesn't like sharing space with new-fangled GTX 460s and what not.

But yeah, 8 year old hard drives and 2 month old soundcards. My modding machine's got nearly a decade of history in it.

Well, if yer mobo dies, no time like the present to get something shiny and new. I'd recommend the one I got, sabertooth 990FX. It has no IDE slots though, but it runs great and such.

Haha, well I've got one HDD on SATA, 2 on IDE, and 1 on USB, so I'd need something with a little backwards compatibility.

Why not turn the two IDE into externals and set them to be available network wide? You'd be able to do whatever from whereever. But yeah, I had the same issue, I didn't check for an IDE slot on my mobo since I went from one that had both IDE and Sata and my OS was on my HD that was IDE. Plus the backup plan I had was only 6 Gb. (don't ask, )

CYLO has 85% chance per shot to jam when underwater. As far as a weapon to replace the Ripjack, there really isn't anything currently. Longhorn might kind of make a decentish replacement, but that's not released yet.

What do you use to replace the weapons anyways? I haven't had much luck with anything and have been stuck using Loadout + some way t o get more ammo.

Barrel might be lower than an actual AK for our model, but its not exactly supposed to be 100% accurate, its some sort of derivative of it developed 150 years into the future.

i use WeaponStuff(the version available on utzone.de) for replacing weapons in the Unreal gametype by .:..: cause so far it is the only one that works, though i have been talking with Iniquitous(on epic forums) about his Weapon Replacer and it sounds like he might be trying to make it compatable with .:..: 's Unreal gametype

Oh cool. I'll check that out. What you got replacing shock rifle? I'm thinking our laser carbine is a ddecent replacement. As for the ripjack, thematically the a73 kinda works as another alien weapon, but doesn't really fill a very similar role.

i use the HMC at the moment, as for the razorjack atm i am between the 2 staves and the lightning gun but they lack the "bouncy"-ness of my favorite weapon, only reason i dont use U4E's reaper is U4E tends to irritate weaponstuff( minor warning if you have too many weapons installed for ut2k4 weaponstuff gets "confused", and it only works with the unreal 1 that is on utzone.de, al the other downloads are for some reason incompatible)

Oh yeah, HMC could work with its splash damage and such.

BTW do you think you could send me a copy of your WeaponStuff.ini? Its not detecting any of my installed weapons and I don't want to manually add them all in to my .ini file.

EDIT: Nevermind! I had an outdated version installed.

Did I break it or does the X83 not allow use of the tripod anymore? I can't mount either version of it.

UT3 Slowtime kills indeed kicks ass! One of the things I liked about UT3, so I was glad to have found it remade in UT2k4.

Hiding that second sight pin is probably a good idea.

Especially I love that new AK. But what about the SK-410? It was intended to be this or not?
And also it would be good to see a new type of ammo for the SK-410. I wouldn't like to choose between M781 and SK-410 as they both rock...

After some testing I've found out that bots drop CYLO Firestorm IV without ANY additional ammo(I don't count ammo in the clip)
They must be dropping : ammo - 75/35.
They drop now : ammo 0/35.
And another bug:
In the personal stats, if you kill more than 2 or 3 enemies NOT using melee attack, some would be counted as MR-DR 88 kills, and some by weapon, which name is shown up as the blank hole.

Hey Kelly could you make a download for that F.E.A.R voicepack? Or give me a quick tut so I can do it myself? The voices fit so well in the game.

I 2nd this as well. I was tempted at one time to make my own version when I found the YouTube videos someone made (I bet that's were Sgt. Kelly got the material from to make it) that has all of what the FEAR Replicants say in the game. I even found the voices for them for the 2nd game but they suck compared to how they sound in the first.

And I knew it! I knew a Gold AK was one of the camo types. Gold AK's are real after all. I have a funny feeling that the Gold AK won't kill someone in one hit like how the Gold R98 does or the Gold Auto Cannon with it's 999 ammo count. If I had to guess the Gold AK will more or less have a more focused rate of fire instead of being spread everywhere as the standard one does.

I may release a pack of my custom voicepacks later, but that's a maybe. There was some program I used to splice all the sounds together after manually extracting the files from the games themselves. It made things pretty easy and straight forward.

You mean UT2k4 voicepackager, right?

I used that too to make some pretty good voices.
Now, I don't want to offend you, but putting these 2 small files for each voice (3 with the readme) in a pack and upload them shouldn't be much of a hassle...
