Yeah, you gotta admit China had some pretty darn cool weapons way back then. I thought rome had something like that. Huh, musta got confused, but it doesn't surprise me that they made those. Was that a cross bow, or a ballista (a huge, somewhat stationary siege crossbow)?

I've heard about that moon elevator, but it doesn't seem like it'd work to me, I'd have to read more but I just don't think it'd work...

The Chinese created the Chu-ko-Nu. A clip fed, rapid fire (but less powerful) crossbow. Its called an orbital tether, and the concept does work. We dont have the level of technology we would need to create it. But it could work.

Carbon fiber can refer to carbon filament thread, or to felt or woven cloth made from those carbon filaments. By extension, it is also used informally to mean any composite material made with carbon filament; for more on that application, see graphite-reinforced plastic.

Uhh... whats a carbon filament? I got a few ideas what they are, but I'm afriad I'd sound more dumb if I mentioned them...
