Loving the scope reticule for the Anti Material Rifle version for the FG-50.

About the video, the LMG FG50's recoil seems a bit too unwieldy, and I don't see anything special about the "Incendiary Ammo" of the sniper version.
I'm really fond of the angles at which both weapons are held, and everything else is just fine

And btw, what's the map name?

I haven't given the incendiary ammo their effects yet. And yeah, the FG50 kicks like a mule on steroids, haha. It wasn't showcased too much in the vid, but it has a controlled firemode that reduces recoil. The far heavier M925 is quite a bit easier to control in general, though.

Map is DM-EndStation. It has destructible environments!

Having a fastfiring/high recoil and slowfiring/low recoil modes sounds nice.

The recoiling barrel allows that, in fact when it recoils it can't allow a fast fire, but better controllability while locking it in place allows a better rate of fire.
The recoil is mainly absorbed with the stock with its hydropneumatic shock absorbers and the stock materials

Decided to check back in since I haven't been around for a while. I see you're still making plenty of progress, which is great!

A question I've always wondered, though: for weapons like the R98, do the different camos do anything? I know certain special camos have different firemodes for the SKAS and such, but there's also plenty of camos that seem to be there only for looks. Do they do anything different and I just don't notice it?

They most certainly do! Most rare camouflages will give the gun a damage boost, recoil reduction, or rate of fire upgrades. The ultra-rare ones often grant massive benefits.

Now if only the "fabulous" camo shot rainbows and butterflies and confetti streamers.

I hope this is the right place to ask:
I'm having trouble running the Weapon Pack 9.2
If I play in "Normal" Mode the weapons of the bonus pack aren't added to the game.
The "only" weapons that appear are the normal BW 2.5 weapons.
I tried to add all weapons in the Swapping Menu. It worked for one match.
If I play "Arena" all weapons appear in the game.

Also it's not possible to hold two pieces of the same pistol.

I've installed UT + latest patch, the BW 2.5 Full, Sgt. Kelly Bonus Pack 9.1 + 9.2 Hotfix

Is it possible to add all weapons to Normal mode ?
And maybe even add all weapons from Fische & Carver to normal mode ?

Clear you BWcache.ini or delete it.

You also will need to manually add the guns to the swapper list. You get to choose which guns replace which. For example, I usually put the A73-E in the Link Gun category.

Not sure where else to ask this, but I have a question about the SKAS - Super Shotgun. In instant action, the SKAS has different variants and changes how it looks (among other things), but in online mode, it's always the same 18 shot varient. Is there a way to get it so that the SKAS randomly changes like it does in instant action, or is that just an offline only feature?

Damn it has been a while since I have logged in the forums (But have been checking the development often nevertheless ^^).

I really love the progress that has been put in the new pack, which looks awesome, but I really miss being able to test it against bots, because with the I'm not afraid of being headshottes while i check the firemodes and special features of the weapons (You know, I miss the old days in which we could test the latest beta build of the v9 pack ^^u).

Damn, to be honest I even tried to rip the cached files from the test server to test the new weapons of destruction against those AIs, without luck xD...

So, will it be possible to do a sneakpeak again in our singleplayer games, or it will be only possible in the test server? I really miss playing with bots using unbalanced weapons (As, unlike humans, they tend to use a randomized arsenal, which usually give you a lot of "WTF?!" moments which I really love to have ^^).

And, about the FG50, for what I saw in the video, I think it misses a bypod if it didn't already had one, as it would really be a great support weapon if mounted in strategic locations of some maps (like Face Classic sniper places, for example)

Camo is currently an offline only feature, though I may put it online in V10. Also, no public V10 beta is planned at this stage. Nobody actually truly beta tested it last time.

FG50 mount is planned.

Lastly, a present from a former community member. Can you guess who/what/where/when/why/how?

I'm not a big fan of the weapon camos, so if you do enable them online, would you consider making it an option? (I always play on Multiplayer to keep them from showing up )

And we did beta test it, and posted quite a lot of bugs here
(but then something happened, and the first 9.0 turned out more buggy than the last Beta version )

And we finally have an FN F2000 model !?
I thought everyone who tried to model one, either had their head explode or joined the Esoteric Order of Dagon (Gun is looking great, BTW)

So which weapon will be using the FN2000 model? One of the existing prototypes or a completely new weapon entirely? Looks like it could fit the MARS2 unless there are other plans for that one

As for who made it, I am going to guess it was supplied by Kien who posted an early FN2000 model back in July 2011. I even commented on how the suppressor looked back then

Haha, you guys are experts at finding those little easter eggs.

Camos are disabled online mainly because there's an issue with server replication. In the world of SMATs and BFGs, superweapon-grade camo is of little concern. The weapon tied to this model is being kept under wraps for now, though I'll let you know it's not Kien's model. Both the model and base texture were contributed by a user with a name starting with A.

Funnily enough, Azaraels name popped up into my mind before I noticed it printed on the gun. I suppose that's because out of the people with names beginning with A, he was the most memorable

To sum up my feelings on the camos, one of the MANY things I like about BW, is that I can add/remove any individual weapons and balance the game manually.
With the random-camos, I just can't do that, 'cause if I want to prevent the fundamentaly unbalanced concept of "randomly giving players weapon upgrades",
I'll have to remove the camo-less weapons as well.

Right now I get around that by always playing on Multiplayer, but if they make it there too (without an off switch), I'll be slightly annoyed when I'm playing by myself, and my regular server customers
will be varying degrees of annoyed when the camo-able weapons are banned from our "tournaments".

Looks like one awesome gun, and it comes with a silencer? Unexpected but really sweet, ghehehehe.

And here is even more bugs from V9:
1. After dropping the laser camo (XR4) of SKAS-21, the normal SKAS one would get only one ammo in the clip. After reload, everything is normal. Although after dropping a laser camo named 1110011, normal SKAS would get stuck with only one ammo in the clip forever(i.e. one shot and reload).
2. CYLO Firestorm IV dropped from bot and taken by me appears to be having less ammo than needed. It should be 75(full ammo)/35(in clip), when it's only 0/35.

Ah, I'll have to tweak the reload code a bit. Some of the default settings act badly when modified.
