I have a screenshot of a black hole grenade from HalfLife 2 Ep1. It is not in the game, but UglyPants pointed me to this. The effects look pretty great, how the singularity drags a part of this parking area into the singularity. The gravity grenade! I thought that was made by the Smod people, not the valve people. Does it have an actual model?

It has the same model as the grenade, and the grenade itself uses the hopper model.

The effect isn't particularly fascinating. . .Distortion like that has been around forever. Hmm. Does the grenade throw stuff or suck it up?

The effects are nothing faschinating because the creation of this weapon was stopped, it is incomplete and so are the effects. I think it was supposed to be the Striderbuster that will show up in Ep2.

And yes, the grenade does suck things; it is fun seeing Alyx getting crushed in the event horizon.

Great rig, taking those screenshots. The best I can run right now is Half-Life 2 / Doom 3 with settings on "medium" or so. It plays well and it looks nice, but what you're showing us puts it to shame with those delicious aesthetics.

Anyway, here's some screenshots I took of Ballistic / Junk War. They were taken from some different versions, so if a weapon doesn't look quite like it does now... Well, that's why. Also, I'm not responsible for any psychological damage from the 5th image.

I still play AVP2 sometimes at our monthly LANS. I friggin HATE queens, though I can usually kill them as a predator.

If you still have them, can't you just look them up in the character selectio window?

Well, hell knights are rather slow, so a skaarj, assuming it'd be as smart as in Unreal (ut2kx monster AI is just plain retarded) could just cicle it, lunge at it and fire bolts from a distance. And if you think a Hell Knight is strong, you haven't seen a Skaar Berserker from upclose yet.

What about the Imps or the Commando?

They'd get lifted, thrown, crushed and finally pulverized by a charget energy ball by this beast:

The Commandos have infinitely big minigun clip and are damn muscular. Plus they are from hell, physics in our universe don't apply to them.
