Ummm...here in SA the "specialists" are not so special, and to get a proper specialist you need to travel about 100Km, then the specialist tells you to buy a new one cheaper and less trouble to just go and buy a new one from the start, altough not always possible, thus the self attempts....

BTW, I am one of those specialists, and it's a LOT more cost effective to go and buy a new keyboard. to take a keyboard apart and clean it properly, and put it back together, the cost for my time would equal about 3 keyboards !!!

oh yes, I've even found paperclips, staples, paper, hair, finger nails (you know those ones women glue on their own nails), never mind cola, coffee, in some of my users keyboards !! For some reason, most keyboards don't mind coffee and cola in them (although you need to hit they keys quite hard), but they generaly fail as soon as water hits them ! seems like coffee and cola are not as conductive as water
