People here are shotgun crazy! We got a pump action, a double barrel, a shot-pistol, and a tactical shotgun. Well why not add one more to the list? Here we have the street sweeper. High ammo capacity, slow reload time, short range, accuracy dependant on whether your using single shot or full auto. Here's some pics...

Thoes that smiley mean you're being sarcastic, or IS there a triple-barreld shotty coming? If so, what next, ye olde quadshot? It was in the original Unreal, but it was bugged/not finished. Oldskool amp'd had a finished version in it, though.

I'd die if I see an Elephant Gun/Blunderbuss in the succeeding patches...

I hope there is one planned, because it'd be the first one of it's kind in a FPS afaik.

There was an idea for a 3-barreled skrith shotgun, as well as a shot-minigun as a superweapon.

But yeah, I like the DAO-12. It's an awesome shotty, and we don't have a semi-auto one yet, so sure. I'm all for it.

And I still want slug rounds, but definetly not for a semi-auto ahotgun.

This sounds like a good weapon. I love shotguns, and adding one more to the mix would be so awesome, especially this one.

That would be extremely fun. Other than the tactical shotguns, do any of the ather shotguns even have a special weapon function? I think it might be a good way to sitch ammo...

I think slug rounds would be an awesome feature, but I can't decide for what shotgun.

The old one is alredy effective at medium range, and it's tube-fed, so changing ammo isn't really practical.

The double-barreled is ALSO tube fed, so still impractical.

The pistol is just plain too short-bareled for slugs to be accurate enough to be useful at anything farther than point-blank.

But I still think it fits the original shotty best.

MAYBE have it fora semi-auto like the DAO-12. . .Yeah, I suppose that'd be okay.

Full auto shotgun would generate recoil that'd make it useless without sticking the barrel into the ass of the one you're shooting at.

In the the end, isn't that really what shotguns are about?

I have never fired a shotgun with the barrel in the ass of someone, so I can't judge that.

AN auto shotty would be fun. The Spas 15 is a fun one to fire, and yeah even with a compsated barrel the accurcy goes souh if you spay with it. But what a way to keep heads down. There was a real old game called shadow warrior that had a shot gun that you could det foe single or four shot that was tons of fun to use.

shotguns are cool!! we made a triple barreld shotgun in a Quake 2 mod.. we never released it, but it was cool

What about a explosive ammo type for the shotguns you know little explosives balls spread around doiing some dammage to sommeone's head or limb or so

I like the idea but as for looks i was thinking more of a Deus Ex feal with a large drum behind the handel the users hand goes threw

How about a rotating triple double barrel shotgun(as in 3 sets of double barrels), similar to the rotating triple barrel rocket launcher in the original UT2k4 loadout? Or is that a tad bit much?

That is way too much actually.
I'd rather want 3 barrels that form a triangle, and you can switch between single, dual or triple fire. Triple fire dealing the most damage in one shot, but reloading takes the longest.

I like just the three barrels. That would probably be best, considering just two barrels is enough to kill most people.

One thing about double fire is that it'd be a bit awkward firing it, since you'd only get one shot off then you'd have to put another shell in to get another two barrels to fire, unless this would also happen to be pump action, then that would be simpler, although I'm still not sure how a double barrel pump action would work...
Either way I'd still love it.

Just checked out Dragon's Breath and R.I.P. cartridges. They are awesome! Also, check out bolo shells; a split slug with a wire cable between the two halves. When the shot is fired, it splits up and makes a flying wire blade thingy o' death.

A triple barrel sounds nice but c'mon... We already have a double barreled shotty. 3 barrels doesn't exactly sound like an innovative step up.

Take a look at the 1st pic in the first post. See that SS with the uzi attachment. That's cool. I'm not saying it has to have that uzi in the game. Let's think of other stuff.

Dont know if any one had this idea but a shotgun minigun...with scattershot for primary and slugs for alternate ammunition type.

I'm all for the uzi attachment, though.

But the DB shotgun's sound effects are weak, plus the barrels are pretty small.
I was thinking of a gun that takes quite a bit of space on the monitor and has cool & futuristic design to it, and of course a loud bang when fired that makes your ears run for cover.

Maybe make it a 10-guage like Redshift's shotgun?
