Does any one have the answer to this problem, do i need updates for something or is something broken. please help me.

You need to get two things confirmed.
1) Your video card is recognized by the OS, you do that by simply going to dxdiag's Display tab or the Device Manager in My Computer's properties dialog.

After the above, 2) Make sure the video drivers are working correctly, dxdiag's Display dialog shows driver information.

For some reason I kept getting that pop up when i played Bet on Soldier and Far Cry and i could not get them to play when something intense happened like gun fire or an explosion.

Well, I'm glad we got that figured out. Maybe next time you won't install drivers you find on my flashdrive if you have no clue what they are for.

You just have to read the text on the splash screen of the installer to know it.

yeah now everything runs great and my framerates for my games have gone up a little bit.

Im thinkg about upgradeing my processor, I have an Amd athalon 64 and I want another amd but i dont know how much a good one costs. anyone have any ideas.

Get a Core 2 Duo instead, if it is in your budget. You'll need a new motherboard though.
