My own made weapon + Idea for BW.

I've modified an Assault Rifle and called it the Flare Rifle. Now it shoots Flares instead of explosives.
It are red flares and last for 90 seconds, they are also harmless
Here's a screenie:


The Idea for BW is to make a flare grenade to light up dark area's.
For DM there should be a white flare, and with teams it has the team's colour, so you see if an enemy shoots a flare or your friend.
Would be fun in darker maps, maps specialy made for stealth game types or other stuff

I've seen the linkprojectile having ambient light and the rocket too.
so I just copied that and edited the lighting settings.

Thats what I tried, didn't turn out though... Oh well, you got it working, I'll probably use the msome time, especially in the RS level Depot against the alien monsters I just downloaded.

Flair rifle, nice, I just wish I had some dark maps, if you could recommend some and or find me some links I would be much obliged.

ive got a sponsorship for a flare gun in the works...soo yeah...

MMM is working on the costum emitter for it. The emitter is done, he only has trouble making it a subclass emitter and putting it in my package

Hey, you were saying you needed a dark as heck level for the Flare Rifle? Download Blue Moon Rising and then play the map BMR-Faith, that is VERY dark! The person may have made it a little too dark with the black fog being so close! That's how it's so dark...

But lighting up fog will just make it brighter, it will be just as hard to see through it. I personally think maps like the cave CTF map that shipped with UT2003/4 would be a pretty good candidate, I just can't remember the exact name...

^ Yeah I just realized that. But... Then there's the power of doing less lighting, and less fog to compensate! Of course, I'll rename it to BMR-Faith2 to not have to change the original... Then I'll be able to test out the gun! Well, it would probably make the level so easy if I did that though... Half the difficulty is how you can't see well...

I can't see well in any map, or in real life for that matter, so it wouldn't affect me much.
