well its just not really that big of a gun. M50, Machine-guns, shotguns, now those are all BIG guns, which are primary/main weapons. Yes the XK2 is powerful with good accuracy and wonderful rate of fire, but its a sidearm, something that you whip out if you end up running out of bullets for your M50. Plus the bullets are way to small a caliber for me to consider it a main weapon.

Well thats my reasoning.

I never use Loadout because I prefer the swapper, plus the XK2 is a sidearm because it doesn't qualify for a primary weapon.

So what if its small? I often stick with that as my main weapon if I get it. It may have small bullets, but you can still kill people with 2-3 shots of it.

Besides, it will be choosable, and even if it is a main weapon, it will still be a side arm, its just more powerful than the other ones (well, to me that is) and I think it might be worthy of primary weapon status.

well i think that might end up having to change.

As DC said, you can choose what slot it'll be in so everyone is happy. I just think it'd be better off as a primary for balancing issues.

by change, i mean't being able to kill people in 2 to 3 hits, for a sidearm which is still should be that to powerful.

I have never killed anyone in 2 - 3 hits with the XK2 unless the victim was on the edge of dying.

strangley i don't think i've done that either. Well that just means i need to test it.

it depends if they have over 100 health or if they have any armor on.

still, by saying that you can kill them in 2 to 3 hits we except that they are at the basis of 100 health. And if thats true, then the Xk2 needs to be nerfed of it ability to kill in 2 to 3 hits, cause its a a sidearm and when dual wielded will be way to powerful if this is the case.

With 100 health and no armor, they'll survive at least 8 bullets. Until DC shows me the actual damage numbers, that will be the most accurate estimation.

I think X is going crazy.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can't take 100 HP with 2-3 body/limb hits, but most of my XK2 kills are from headshots anyway. Indeed, most of the ballistic weapons seem to favor people's heads (not that I mind or anything)...

Yeah, I was referring to headshots.

Most guns can kill with a couple of headshots anyways, its just the XK2's rate of fire and clip capacity makes it pretty damn useful.

Are there headshots for the regular BW guns? I thought only the railgun and sniper had that ability.

They're the only ones that can get a headshot message, but the rest can all just get headshots that appear in only your bottom right where the death console messages appear.

My XK2 does 3 headshots for killing normal just spawned enemies (tested against bots).

My team: Miko, Mario, Master Chief, and Myself (as Torch or another Miko, due to jump hieght with Species Stats mutator on).

Enemy team: 5 Xans, or 5 Viruses, or 5 Smiths.

Dunno, devs haven't said a word, not on the beta, and not on the update to the changlog. Well they did say they will update it and that was a week ago, so i don't know.

didnt they say like 2 weeks after christmas we would have a beta? im cool with it if its gonna take longer i just like asking ^ _ ^

XK2 CAN kill in 2-3 shots if you get the head

release date.. ahhh. actually, we are finishing up nicely now.. smoothing out the wrinkles, making sure all works good.. package stuff, various things.. Minigun giving some AI crap, but DC should get it nailed down good just hang on a bit longer.. theres some cool stuff to see
