Postal 2's so brutal i got the expansion pack Apocalypse weekend and i download a mod called AWP and you can cut peoples legs off and theyll start crawling and muttering things like "Mommy..Help me" and then they start to cry....its demented which also makes me refrain from playing it every day

The things you can do on postal are insane like putting a cat on the end of your shotgun and using it as a silencer or just burning people alive...even though they are alive after there entire body is burnt

That doesn't sound very brutal to me Echo. Some of the stuff I've seen on TV; that is one hell of brutality. Few hours ago I watched a horror film that was so brutal that most states of the US banned it at first. (I saw the reason...)

Never watched Hostel, and I don't know the name of the one I saw. It is displayed here as a series of movies under the name 'Masters of Horror', they didn't tell the name. But it was advertised that it was the most brutal of the series.

It competes with Dentist 2, that movie made me shake when I watched it few years ago.

I wanted to watch that series but I forgot it was on and slept right through it

They just show one at a time, once a week. Enough for me ya know, the name kind of tells the truth about them...

masters of horror is definately the best collection out there...i hate todays "horror" movies...all cheap thrills and no atmosphere, no real terror just stuff popping up on screen...and predictably too

you can probably find masters of horror on dvd...i know its out there kuz they have them at work and i plan to buy some later

as a side note...i bought hostel awhile back and havent watched it yet...i think i'll do that

Ah... "horror" movies... are there really any nowadays (or any at all, for that matter...) that are truly scary?

It just seems like "scary" now means gore. Gore, in my dictionary, does not mean scary.

I do love Night of the living Dead, while not scary, it certainly makes you wonder, "What would I do in a zombie invasion?"

You could really learn something from that movie, that no matter what, the black guy will die.
I know its an old movie, but that actually was kind of unexpected ending, actually. No dramatic lines or exaggerated death scene, just a militia (or was it the police?) came in, saw someone in the house, shot him, and that was that. No lame one-liners, no long, drawn out ending sequence, just plain and simple. Bang. Another one dead. Hope he was a zombie.

So, on that conclusion, I think we can all safely say that if there was a zombie invasion, there will be documentaries.

night of the living dead was a very very good movie though, as was dawn of the dead, and the rest of those of the dead movies, come to think of it those were the best zombie movies

but one must wonder whats the big deal...all i have to do is jog to outrun them...that and they're searching for brains so must of the public is safe

Shotgun ain't too bad, though there is ammo to worry about...

Personally, I got two machetes which will hold up after a few good thrashings, a handmade warhammer that will also probably last, couple swords which probably wouldn't last too long, several knives I can trust, and my chainsaw. All within arms' reach right now.

But actually, the big deal is that there are zombies everywhere. You can jog away from them for only so long. You're going to need a place to sleep and stuff eventually.

Plus you got to worry about the paranoid living people. the'yre the biggest threat, actually.

I'd take out my diver's knife, club hammer, crowbar and make some molotovs. My chainsaw's an electric one, so that's useless. I'd have to search for better weapons quickly.

First off, to clear everything up, they don't want brains, thats just a common myth. Everyone knows they want... livers!

Liiiveeers... must... eat... liver... oooniooons... would be niiiice.... too...

Second off, the zombies can smell your live, healthy livers. And when they smell live healthy livers, the first thing that comes to mind is "Where's the onions?" then comes the thought of "Beh, screw the onions, I'm hungry now, damn it! I'm eating!"

You got a point there, but there is one flaw in your thinking. Zombies eat more than brains or livers, and dealing with any proper zombie just requires you to walk, not jog.

Then again, there is also the animal zombies, and those can be a little tougher. Often there at least a little faster, and often are stronger.

Yeah, I'm not as well armed as X, but I still have a few weapons handy, including a bastard sword, a short disemboweling sword, and a bowie, not to mention various blunt objects.

I'd just use my tons of knifes in the kitchen, then the bb gun rifle to shoot at the head a lot of times only at closer range (for at least some damage). Then I'd go find my screwdriver, my shovel, and maybe an ax, if there is one nearby. Well, the BB Gun would be my primary weapon obviously, since I have so much ammo (at least 500 to 1000), then the jagged kitchen knife I love most as secondary, and finally, the other objects I might find such as a bike to get away from them when there are too many.

Man, we need a small RPG section to go do something like this on this site. Would be fun! I don't like to RP though with the way most RPs are, wher there's a story. We just need some random arsed crap to happen!!! Well, that's what KF is for I guess... with Junkwar at least...

Axe and shovel, good weapons. Plenty of reach and made for heavy usage. Stick with those in case of zombie outbreak.

Oh, and Ganome, everyone knows animals don't turn into zombies, unless of course you''re talking about the T-virus, but everyone knows that was in a video game and therefore fictional.

Not necessarily, Adam, can they penetrate a skull? Thats kind of a determining factor...

I wouldn't count on that airsoft, James, for similar reasons.

Heavy blunt things like a metal pipe (which I also have handy) would be one of the more effective weapons. It's not going to break and it can break skulls easily.

X, you know... I don't exactly shoot people with it everyday... But I would bet it could at closer ranges. Maybe 10 feet or 20 at max for skull penetration.

Either way, if there really was a zombie infestation, I'd just go and start running them over with a car.

I have been thinking the same, I see a whole bunch of lame trailers about all sorts of horror movies. It's probably a fashion these days. If they want to make something scary, go with atmosphere and troubling scenes, not rely entirely on gore.

That might not be a bad idea, but you'll eventually start to get bogged down and then the zombies will break through the windows and you'll be lunch...

You see, you gotta move away from civilisation and wait it out, unless you wanted to be a hero like me and end up dying horribly in a horde of zombies wit a machete in hand, trying despertately to save the lives of others...
