yeah i'll take my soup the same way i take my drinks...made from taters, nothin like home made potato soup with fresh crushed bacon and chives.
alternatively theres the classic chicken noodle, and tomato soups

I like Clam Chowder. Both New England and Manhattan style (btw, if you're ever in Virginia Beach, CP shuckers has some of the best chowder I've ever had)
