They made almost two identical games cause Epic wasn't at all happy with UT2k3 from what i know.

They could have made an expansion pack to fill in all the stuff they didn't put in Ut2003

So... lemme get this straight...

UT'99 - "UT1"
UT2004 - "UT2"
UT2007 - UT3

Well... it's simple-sounding now... I got no complaints.

Meh & bleh! Nothing wrong with UT2007, had a nice futuristic feel to it (even if the 'future' is, like, NOW)... 'UT3' feels too much like 'Tekken 3' etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. But whatever, as long as the game kicks ass (i.e. is a good modding platform), I'm not complaining -- at least not too often or too loudly.

And UT2007 doesn't feel like the 'yet another year in the tournament eh?'.

UT3 is so much better than the older name. The first game was not called UT1999, so why they didn't name the next one UT2 confuses me.

Who cares what the name is? If its a good game it doesn't need a good name...

It doesn't sound any less insubstantial than the forner name. The only difference is the choice of number.

Wrong also UP. Envy is the Codename for UT3. They had the official name of UT2007 changed to UT3 publicly, but the codename of Envy is still used. Kinda like how Google Page Creator's codename is Trogdor. That would be a reference to HomestarRunner.com for those who don't know that.

Besides, Envy was the CODENAME for UT2k7, then last friday, they changed the name to UT3. PWNED!

I would say to combine the old UT2k7 logo with the UT3 one, but replace the 2007 with the III seen in the UT3 logo.
