This server (unrealshredder's BALLISTIC WEAPONS (v172) server) went online literally a few days ago. 12 player slots and map redirection. Currently, there's only 9 custom maps (DM) on it but I'll take care of that soon.

Get DM-Trident and i'll be online. Does it have lots of custom stuff that we need to download?

Nope. Restricting custom content to maps and a few skins here and there.

You need only one more thing for it. My maps... ^_^

one more thing...what do i use for the commandline to enable ballistic deathmatch after a server reboot?

You'll have to change the gametype and Map accordingly, But the Mutator Line is correct.

Wup is a long time BW server hoster here, and there are a few others around here hosting BW servers. I'm sure they will help if you get stuck.

I'd recommend putting it on the list. Very few downloads, might want to get rid of that Jill skin though, seems not to work, if it doesn't work get rid of it.

And i love how its all the offical maps from Ut2k4 and not crazy custom maps.

Okay against my better judgement, the mod is on redirect now...but only in the hopes of getting more players.

Oh and...Jailbreak...I seem to remember if you join a server, and you have downloaded that mod from the server itself instead of installing it...something in the code for it sets up 'temporary keybinds' for you...just while you're on the Jailbreak server. I'm assuming when you leave, the binds are reset. I could be wrong, maybe the code just does that in offline games...but yeah that's kind of my beef about putting medium to large mods on redirect because people whine about how they can't properly use their weapons...but that would be a cool feature imo to implement in your mod, like auto-bind reload, special weap function, firemode, at least.

I always Encourage people to download the mod first before joining the server (I.E.: If its a Jailbreak Server then get Jailbreak first)

just to be fair i should mention that this isn't a 'pure' bw server anymore...just that most of my regulars also play a certain other mod. point of this post is that unless you have this mod installed you'll have to dl it until i figure out how the heck to configure ut2vote o_O

well if your not playing the gametype from the get go, unless you join, then it switches it will download. I don't think it will download if your not playing the custom gametype.

A new server, always good

meant to update this sooner...i did get ut2vote working and my server defaults to ballistic deathmatch

I have Ballistic DM/TDM and Invasion votable as well as JunkWar DM/TDM. Server no longer defaults to Ballistic DeathMatch, actually standard DeathMatch. Also I do not currently have the new version on redirect, but I'll take care of that soon...

Update:

Ballistic DM/TDM *Loadout* now votable as well.

I changed my mind, server now does in fact default to Ballistic DeathMatch.

Finally, 2.0 is now on my redirect.

Another unfortunate update:

My server has suddenly gone down, for no apparent reason. This is beyond my control as I am renting it. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Okay, that was fast. Apparently they had to do some sort of reboot. So all is good now...

Yeah, I know. I consider it a curse because I first made it votable sometime when I was running 1.72, just to try something different. I had doubted it would ever catch on...I mean it's alright, but definitely my least favorite gametype.

Oh and to everyone, I recently added a couple more voting options. Ballistic Bombing Run, and kind of a manufactured gametype that I named 'Ballistic Sidearm Shootout'. It consists of the standard UT gametype, Last Man Standing, with the Ballistic Arena mutator (players spawn with all sidearms at once; you can dual wield whenever you want).
