You have a strange jaw.

Lets toss X's jaw around *toss*.

All kidding aside, you guys will be amazed, speechless when you get BW, it will blow your minds like how BW first did with 1.0

Hmm, a misc. question, but how are the pistols? They sound a bit better? Packing a bit more punch or usefulness?

Yeah, not only does 2.0 look and sound better than ever, it actually plays a lot smoother too. This is 'combat evolved'.

Oh, I woudn't worry about those...

BW 2.0 sounds really cool

I'm not saying anything.

2.0 has been improved, pretty much in ALL areas

working our way through some bugs, then trailer, and it'll be around.. soon..

the battles, now sound and feel way more impressive.. explosion sounds, fly-by sounds (i like the railgun flyby) the effects, all of it.. and the gore.. the gore

Hoo-Man. This version really brings the UT experience back into serious competition with newer miltuplayer games like HL2DM. There's still a couple of pretty frustrating bugs, but if Black Eagle can be trusted, SB and DC are working their respective brains into overload fixing them.

You guys will be getting one heck of an awesome experience.

Must... have... BW 2.0!

playing 2.0 kinda makes me wanna go back and play 1.0 lol, just to see how much they improved

And just yesterday I cleaned all my BW archives, from 1.0 to 1.72.

that sucks..... kind of? lol (i still want to try 1.0 but i'll probably never get that chance)

I know I'm probably not supposed to ask this, but is there any chance we'll see it within two weeks?

I personally think it is pretty likely, it has been in beta stage for a while now.

Yeah, but knowing the devs, they want 2.0 perfect, and + we've reported a TON of bugs.

As always, yes they do, but they have to work through those bugs first. I'm sure they will make sure there's none of the major crashing type bugs before they release.

No timeline yet, but I'm sure we will get an idea of time after this weekend.

lotsa those reported bugs, arent really worth doing, or aint bugs, or easy, low priority, things like that

there are actually only a few bugs, that are bothersome.. dual guns, mounted weapons, and a crash.. killing those off first.. actually getting close i must say

we are RS, and we have to be happy with this before we release

I'd really like to know if the fire effects were improved. Now that a flamethrower is in, they are even more important. And honestly, the fire effect of the pyro grenade was the only thing of which I think that it looked quite bad in BW1.x. Of course I don't complain that it doesn't look like in Chaos UT2 or HL2, but it would be nice to hear that it looks a bit better than it used to...

The fire effects look great from what I have seen when using the flamer. It is just the flames act a little unrealistically.

I don't think they've changed the fire effects for the FP9 much at all, but the ones for the flamethrower are definetly great.

Maybe they're gay flames or something...

How so?

They act like there is no atmosphere around. Plus when spewing flames it normally leaves the barrel in a very thin spot and then quickly expands once out of the gun.

The way the flames work in-game, their path is predictable, which is not good; and they vanish almost right away. They should last 1.5 - 2 seconds longer.

I'm wondering... is there gonna be a public beta?

I seriously doubt it. If there is, then that means not a final 2.0 for an added 3+ weeks.

Yeah. . .We've got enough beta testers, a public beta wouldn't make much difference, as most public "beta testers" are just out to play the game early. Anyways, it'd just mean you guys wouldn't have your first glimpse at the game be that of a finished product. You wouldn't want that, would you?

Besides getting a bunch of new betas gives you a new set of false postives. Best to stick with the folks that have had the mod in hand for a bit for bug hunting.

Thanks

i think our flames are fine.. they behave decently..

not long off now hopefully.. will kill some more bugs, then release could be close

sure the flames dont "behave" like a real flame thrower but who cares, we'll just call it a special flamethrower, besides its really effective in combat anyway
