Man... I just can't imagine Skrith Snipers/Scouts playing a game of Red-Light Green-Light with their supposed prey.

I want them to be the stealthy hunters they were meant to be!

Let's not go too crazy with the uniqueness mumbo jumbo. The gun is already plenty unique to sacrifice an useless burst fire feature that could easily be selected with the fire switching key.

Thats why i'd rather have it burst fire then single. Keep it different.



Maybe. could work. But as I've said, rumor is floating around about other skrith gun formates to use this tech. A Coiled Energy carbine would be like what your all wanting, minus the scope.


Besides, at the end of the day, its RuneStorms mod, so they can use the idea how they want.

I love the three-is-better-then-one configuration. It sounds like a cross between a shotgun and a sniper, making it good at all ranges.

I think that it would be cool to have the special remove the scope if you want. So it can switch between a regular rifle and a scoped one. I don't like the three shot thing though, but if you make it so that it shoots all three shots within, say, a fifth of a second, it'd look cool. Also, being a sniper rifle, give it the kind of look like the Skrith Sidearm's alternate fire beam, but different. Much thinner. If the shots looked like Unreal 2's Widowmaker, that'd be sweet.

i was thinking that could be in it, it'd be under the weapons fire tab key for sure.

Too bad nothing ever became of my Coiled Energy weapon systems... they were so cool. The old weapons from the First War that are frowned upon now by current Skrith armies. Both this and the CEGL would have been awesome... since it would have been another indicator of the Skrith slowly moving away from non-stealth weaponry.

And by all means, if you RS guys wanna use this a prototype for something, go for it.

I like the idea, Skrith sniper with 3 round burst, sounds very nice.

Just because the special function exists, doesn't mean you HAVE to use it.

From what i guess, the Skrith wouldn't be fans of multiple functions. Look at the rifle and pistol, neither have specials (if i remember correctly), just a primary that shoots and a alt that either shoots differently or stabs.

I know, primary on the sidearm is just shooting and secondary is chargable shot, no special
primary on the rifle is shooting with adjustable firing modes, secondary is bayonet stab

but for the sniper, would some bipod be a cool idea or something like that?

No bipod, i can't stand bipods for snipers.. cept for the barret.

I got the strange feeling the Cryon are based on the Drakk from Unreal2, I mean, also robotic creatures growing their own stuff, growing their own planet and everything they need

Sorry for off-topic. Anyways, these weapons are pretty good. Again (I think? Can't remember if I posted here yet....), I like the exploding, spikey grenades. For an animation thing, perhaps the player would then twist the balde before releasing so it would have to painfully twisted back to be removed. Within under five seconds. Could be a cool feature in gameplay, too..... Rip the thing out, wounding you're self so you don't get killed by a vaporising plasma blast. Maybe get some revenge and toss the grenade into the back of his head.....
