Quick painless and to the point

To be a little less painless and to the point corrupted files are just files that might be damaged or incomplete files.

Just kinda something messed up with them that generally makes the files unusable.

One would think a native English person knows what the word 'corrupted' means.

This download better be worth it, I'm spending precious class time downloading it.

So, this is pretty much Red Faction translated to UT2004? I probably oughta read up on this, but I want to try and get the thread back on topic too, so why not kill two birds with one post?
Oh yeah, I forgot to ask this question I've been wondering for a while, is there any way to use BW in it? Can you use mutators, or no?

The mut selection is quite limited... And, no, BW can't run here.

But yeah, it is RF in UT2. I loved the weapons but I gave up on this because the Novice bots are way too difficult, these guys apparently think that everyone that plays the game has more skill than Fatal1ty assisted with an aimbot.

So it has mut support, yet limited? Hmm... maybe a bit of tweaking can allow BW...

The reason why I want BW is for several reasons; enhanced gore, loadout, and the weapons themselves.

But I might be able to manage without BW...

And tougher bots? Cool! Godlikes in regular UT04 prove too easy for me.

And no, it is not good. If Novice bots are too hard for even an experienced player like me, it is gonna be the end of the playerbase of MW, simple as that. Maybe the fixed this in the 2.0 release, but 1.0 didn't last long on my hard drive.

I tried it, and I'm not really too impressed by it... I only tried 5 maps so far, they are cool maps (though the texture work could be improved), but in none of those tested was any apparent terrain destruction. I know it isn't available in all maps (or did I read interpret the readme wrong?), but is there any way to know which maps have it incorporated?

Might be kinda fun to try sometime, but I don't really want to look through every map to find it...

I love the invasion monsters though. But, they aren't very easy to take on in an indoor area, which appears to be what most of the maps consist of for the regular invasion game type.

I also love the vehicles, though there appears to be a bug with the aircraft. You can't descend with it. The crouch key appears to do nothing, but now that I think about it, the crouch key might not be bound to "c" by default... must check that.

In the end I'd say its not a bad mod, but I'm not really to crazy about it. BW is what I'm gonna stick to. It just seems so much better done to me, and is more fun.

Remember they are remaking content of a game from 2001, of course the maps won't look good.

Yeah, I know that, and its a rather minor thing that I can easily live with.

Its just the guns themselves that feel rather crude and unrefined. But that could be just because I'm so accustomed to BW.

Oh yeah, and that ship not descending was because I didn't assign "c" to crouch. My bad.

I felt the weapons were pretty good myself, they gave me the good old Red Faction feel.

Maybe I need to play RF again then. I'm sure they probably match the feel pretty well, I can't remember, but I still get this feeling that they just don't seem quite as good as they could be for UT2004.
