Sarge- The reason i was alive is because of the cyron heart, but before i decided to kill you guys, my memory served me well, so i decide to rip out my own heart so that i disobey cyron orders.

OOC: I thought you ripped your heart out for the spaceship.

Sergeant Kelly rested on the cot in the Medical Bay. He dreamt of firefights with mechanical monstrosities and horrendous bugs. He saw his 18 teammates die on Luxor IV. He remembered Xavious tearing through Krao with a chainsaw.

He dreamt of heading towards a bright light...

With his envirosuit compromised, Cryon nanobots had been wreaking havoc on his body. The ship's EMP discharge had fried most of them, but not before they had caused severe damage.

Ah...

Time to vote, get the hell out of here or stay and kill more cyron?

I say stay. We still need to get the fuel processing unit for the ship to escape.

indeed, if we go without it, we won't get too far.

The space ship can fly, but only with a very small amount of fuel which has already been processed...

Thus I vote for going back in, find a place where I can hack into their systems, find the storage facility with the Fuel Processing unit, and get the hell out of there.

"Check this out, I've found this in the cargohold of 'Haste', it is a special type of ammo for regular pistols.
The ammo itself isn't lethal, but it will unleash virus carrying particles on the Cryon, which will try to attach to its software. If that happens, we are one step to getting a friendly Cryon. I'm going to modify these a little to make them aim for the heart, which Cryon get orders from their leaders. After that is done, we got ourselves another allie.
I only got six of them so don't waste them on scouts or weak Cryon, use them on the big daddies, aim for software spots. I've done a little research, and found that aiming on the neck is best.
Now, we need these. It would be nice to save them untill I can locate the storage, along locating that storage I can also locate security positions, which allows me to pinpoint where, when and what Cryon are hanging around the place.
With this, it will make things alot easier. So... remember, the hardest part of this mission is the beginning, we don't know what to expect."

After about fifteen minutes on the ship, Kelly's Envirosuit Life Support system finally kicked in. Medkits and Stim Packs were injected to keep his bodily functions at a safe level while the suit nanobots dissolved the Cryon bullets and patched up the pierced armor.

The Cryon nanobots had interfered with the suit's technology, and if left alone, they would have eventually reprogrammed it and caused it to self destruct. They had already disabled the Life Support system by the time Kelly had pulled the EMP discharge switch. The only reason the LS reactivated was because the UAC Military had added in an emergency backup.

Hoisting himself up from the cot, he walked over to a recharge station and juiced up the suit. "Whew, that was a close one." Sarge vocalized as he stepped into the next room.

Pressing a button located on the helmet of his suit, he ejected a small datacube. "You might want this, Bulska. It's a backup for your suit. The air here is swarming with nanobots. If your suit gets ruptured, your systems will be offline within seconds. This will guarantee that they turn back on."

"By the way, where's Xavious?"

OOC: The maintenance tunnel seems like something out of Doom.

Sergeant Kelly climbed slowly down the rungs into the tunnel. Ducking behind the metal crate once again, he opened a radio link to Xavious.

"Xav, you there?"

His response was that of a chainsaw revving up and strange squealing.

Cautiously continuing forward, he took out the UAC Plasma Gun and fired into the darkness. More strange screams... and then a roar. Taking one look behind him, he ran. "What the heck is that!?" A massive bio-mechanical beast, as large as the tunnel, was rushing towards him. It had a cannon for a right arm and a saw for a left. Gigantic tank treads took the place of its feet. It looked sorta like a tank with a Hellknight grafted to it.

Sprinting as fast as his wounds would allow, Kelly fired charge after charge at the beast. They fizzled away as if nothing. The little blue spheres only seemed to make it angry. "Roaarararrrr!" It yelled as it fired a rocket out of its cannon arm. Sections of the ceiling crumbled as the resulting fireball engulfed most of what was the entrance. Activating its treads, the monster sped on behind him. The steel box Kelly had ducked behind was completely obliterated under its massive weight.

"What the hell is this place?!" Kelly yelled as the metal floor below him suddenly turned into a writhing mass of flesh and bone. Almost slipping on the slimy surface, Kelly inserted a fresh energy cell in to the Plasma Gun and continued firing. Explosion after explosion rocked the halls behind him.

"Heeyyyyy! Watch out!" Kelly yelled as he pointed behind him. Xavious, who had just finished cutting through a fleshy door of some sort, looked back and raised his flamethrower.

I followed Sgt. Kelly into the tunnel again, after gearing up. As i entered the tunnel, I can smell something foul in the air.

"Hey, where are you guys?" I asked, as I scanned the area, machinegun in hand.

Then I heard a loud roar, and other people. This doesn't look too good. When I got around the corner a beast as large as the tunnel was surrounding Bulska, Sgt. Kelly, and Xav. Out of pure instinct, I fired at the monster, hopefully distracting it.

It flinched when it got hit, then it turned around to find me. I gulped in fear and slowly backed up.

"Looks like we don't have much time, guys," I said, raising my machinegun, "I'll try to get him to chase me, you guys take him down."

After saying that I began running for my life.

OOC: Yeah, Doom sorta did come to mind when I wrote that.

I ran to the beast as it was busy with KylinRage, spraying bursts of fire onto its back.

As I got nearer I put my flame thrower back and got my saw out again.

My chainsaw revved up as I jumped on the back of the beast, I tore into it with my saw; sparks flying as I hit metal, blood spraying as I hit flesh, coolants splashing as the tubes were cut.

I could see the flames cover me, but the armour seemed fully able to handle a bit of heat.

The tank turned its head to me and let out a howl of rage.

"GRAAHHH!!!!" I screamed right before I smashed his face to a pulp with my power assisted punch.

Even after having its face chainsawed to a bloody pulp, the mechanical monstrosity was still moving! Revving up its buzzsaw, it attempted to cut through Xavious' thick armor. Grabbing the maintenance Cryon's two-shot magnum, Kelly aimed and fired. "Crack! Crack!"

The two shots hit the beast in the saw arm, cutting right through the flesh and metal. The second shot must have hit a fuel line of some sort, because as it pierced the skin a fiery explosion erupted. "Rooarararrr!" The beast yelled as its buzzsaw wound down and stopped completely.

"Xav! I think your fuel tank is leaking! Watch out!" Kelly yelled as a light green liquid sprayed out of tank on Xavious' back. The saw must have nicked while it was shutting down. Not wanting to cause an explosion, Kelly placed the pistol on the ground and grabbed a can of sealant from his suit's pocket.

"Pssssshhhhhhhh", the white foam flew out of the can and completely coated the cannister. On contact with the hot armor and steel, the foam solidified and sealed the leak off completely. It was only a temporary solution, but it would have to do.

"Cryon, detach rocket arm." Sergeant Kelly ordered as the team prepared to go on. It did as it was told and dropped the massive cannon to the ground.

"This is gonna be fun." Sarge said as he lifted the large cannon onto his shoulder. "Bulska, can you hotwire this for me?" Giving the gun to Bulska, he turned around and ordered the Cryon to defend the tunnel.

"I'll take a look to that gun, 1 sec..."
While working on the gun, he said to the captured tank.
"Cryon, go stand someplace I can see you and where you can't hurt any of us."
The Cryon stayed where he was... Bulska thought he didnt listen, but then noticed the Cryon was already in his sight and couldn't hurt any of us already...
"All done, you can handle this gun now, I even made a usefull trigger.
Now, we should move to that hallway, lets move that tank upfront, everybody ready to move or someone still checking up his gear?"

Kylin looked at the Cryon as he didnt trust him.
"Don't worry, as long we keep him out of our reach, we'll be fine, just keep an eye out for him. I'm sure nothing will go wrong, but still... we should always take caution. One important thing, give him right orders, if you randomly say fire at will he might shoot at us, always give him a target!"
Bulska looked around with his guns ready, thought he heard a noise... probably nothing, just the mechanical structure...

OOC: Ready to go? Just randomly say you go somewhere and say Bulska said that was the way

"Well, what're we standing around for? Let's move it!" Sergeant Kelly commanded as he walked through the fleshy door. The next room was more recognizable than the last. The three sides of the room housed three doors. One labeled "Processing", one labeled "Core", and one labeled "Medical".


Walking over to the Processing door, he froze. His suit's communicator was beeping. He waited until the others had moved out of range before answering the device. "Yes?"

"Greetings, Sergeant." It was Betruger's voice. "I see you're on the planet Demenix 2. How... unfortunate...

Listen closely to what I'm about to say. This is off the record. This conversation never took place.

As you well know, much of the Cryon's technology was manufactured by us. We gave them machinery while they gave us cash and a means of conducting experiments otherwise branded as 'unethical'. The transactions we made were off the charts. Nobody but the higher ups knew of them. We must keep it this way.

Our scanners show that you are on this planet with three other humanoids. They must be taken out. Who knows what they've found out already. We hoped that nobody would try to land on this place, we thought it was secure, but we're pulling the plug.

Your envirosuit is equipped with a thermo-nuclear bomb. I want you to place that bomb in the core room and detonate it. The damage should be enough to wipe this little facility off the map. I'm sending a fleet of UAC's finest in case you run into trouble or change your mind. Expect to see them shortly. Rendezvous with them before leaving.

His visor flashed a message.




Sergeant Kelly turned to the men. "You guys go ahead. I'm going to stay back and protect this hallway. I don't think I'm alone in not trusting this Cryon here."

"You sure you can handle it?"

"Yes, I'm sure."

He waited until they left before unholstering the Cryon's rocket launcher. Hoisting it over his shoulder, he aimed a shot at the door labeled "Core". Once that was out of the way, he walked over to the Cryon and placed the rocket launcher back on its arm. "Cryon, annihilate all non-UAC personell and stop taking orders. I repeat, do not take any more orders."

He pulled out his PDA and clicked the Loaned Inventory tab. The tab controlled all items not currently on Sergeant Kelly's body. It showed three options.

Disable Backup Envirosuit Chip: Yes/No. Sergeant Kelly clicked yes.

Jam UAC Defense Pistol: Yes/No. Sergeant Kelly clicked yes.

Detonate UAC Defense Pistol: Yes/No. Sergeant Kelly paused. The pistol contained a small explosive charge in the handle, clicking yes would detonate it. His finger hovered over yes.


He clicked no.


Pulling up the texting option, he contacted Captain Xavious. "You have six minutes. Run." He smiled as he placed a grenade in the Cryon's rocket launcher and walked into the core room.

Sergeant Kelly didn't worry about disobeying Dr. Betruger's orders. Betruger might have been UAC's head scientist, but Sarge was head of the military. The troops that the doc sent would obey Kelly over him.

Sergeant Kelly walked past many Cryon as he headed towards the core. Betruger had ordered a cease-fire for the UAC personell. As he scanned in his palm to gain access the coolant section, a series of explosions went off behind him. His grenade had done its job. If the Cryon wasn't destroyed by now, it was certainly out of commission.

Large pipes filled with blue liquids lined the walls of the coolant station; this was his spot. Detaching the large bomb from his back, Kelly walked over to the primary control console. He overrode the failsafes and set down the bomb. A console light turned red. Time to get out.

Numerous Klaxons blared as emergency exits opened and green pathway lights activated. Kelly sprinted out as fast as his wounds allowed. He sped past the alarmed Cryon and the half blown apart tank and went for the hatch. A red light flashed near it.

"Shit." The blast doors were coming down.

Sergeant Kelly dove under the massive steel door just as it slammed shut. Hopefully Bulska would be able to open it before it was too late.

Leaping up the ladder rungs, Kelly ordered his troops to start their ships' engines. The on-point troopers saluted before relaying the order. Numerous fusion engines started and revved into action. Before boarding himself, the sarge took one of the extra FPUs and placed it on the ground. He texted Xavious to come back to the pad as the four heavily armed ships took off. He bid them good luck as they sped away.
