just a quick thought that came to me, how about making some kind of bomb that sticks to enemies, teamates or maybe with an alt function to yourself then you can suicide bomb or something. you could even put in a separate detonation key so as you are dying you could blow yourself up and maybe take a few people with you.

could be funny. seeing a Gen Moi Kai running at you trying to hug you, than BOOM... your both dead!

Only thing is that sucides don't count in UT2004 you lose a kill point !

yeah but thats why you run into the middle of a bunch of people, besides i think fun factor is worth a kill point. imagine the surprise someone would get after they sneak up on you with a knife and all of the sudden boom you wipe them out because you saw their shadow or something. with ctf and br matches this could be pretty devastating if the enemy attacks in waves, wipe out their wave with one suicide bomber and then you gain a strategic advantage, or if they run off with your flag and you sticky bomb them they think they got away scot free...but then boom...very demoralizing i think.

the only real problem i could see is the stupid bots blowing themselves up so that would take a bit of scripting

A suicide vest would be pretty cool, especially if it shot stuff like nails & ball bearings to all sides, just like the real thing! So basically a 360 degree buckshot blast with an explosive center.

cooler if it was just packed with TNT or someother explosive!

Real suicide vests usually include stuff like ball bearings embedded in or wrapped around explosives because that way it's much more deadly. It's the projectiles that do most of the damage, not the blast itself. In-game it would add chaos and realism, and increase the chances of a multi kill. A regular explosion would be lame and unrealistic.

these vests sound much better...I have an additional idea to add into them, how about an auto detonate which would be triggered when your health drops to a certain ammount but only that certain ammount or a range of 5hp...say like you set it to 10-15hp it blows if you get damaged to 12hp but not if you go from 100 to 0 by getting railed or something. or maybe just leave it as manual, it's a toss up idea

I think a suicide belt should kill you no matter how much health and armor you have.

No its should be a suicide vest, belts are for UT99 fans!
