The A7 Tezra Blaster.
was built in the year 2154 in to combat skrith close quaters combat techniques.
since the skrith used melee over ranged they had to have powerful armor and shields to survive a barrage of fire in order to engage in hand to hand combat,for this reason the a7 was born.

THE A-7,defeats armor and lifeforms very quickly,it performs this feat by the use of molecular distortion
meaning the gun literally distorts and breaks down the molecular cohesiveness of atomic particles thus sucessfully,discentagrating objects,the a7 fires three small tighty packed spheres which look green when emitted from the guns barrel and spins on a counter clockwise axis,the weapons projectiles also emit radiation so targets close to the projectile being fired will suffer slight damage for crossing its path,when the it hits a target the object in question will suffer five seconds of damage and an additional radiation damage which lasts 15 to 30 seconds depending on the amout of hits taken by repeated shots.

The concept art thing is way too Terran to be a Skrith weapon.

Where did you get that, by the way? It kinda reminds me of the Baur H-AR from BF2142.

I think he meant is was designed to counter the Skrith's heavy armor and shields. The thing about that is that the skrith use energy shields, which are the very reason the terrans don't use energy weapons any more.

I like this idea nonetheless, I gather from the description that it does minor damage on impact then stackable radiation damage over time, very cool! You could easily hit-and-run with this thing by pumping a burst into some poor sap then fleeing while he disintigrates behind you.

How fast do those projectiles travel? If you have a scope then should be fast enough to be effective at long range

Also I perfectly approve of a meelee ability but I wonder if it should have more of a radiation inducing tazer rather than a blade, that could fit the guns style a bit better.

it does the blade is made of enriched uranium and it gives off an eletric discharge so yea it slices you shocks you and radiates you

not sure how to explain projectile speed but it will be as fast as the missle from the raptor

Those missiles from the raptor travel about as fast as a link gun projectile by the way. (initially, then they build up speed)

Did you make the model? (O,o) Anyway nice idea, especially since it is an energy weapon and not too powerful. But the design is not very skrithy. If you can't give it a nice skrith design then I think it's good enough to be in anyway.

Don't the Skrith have some kind of energy shielding that defeats energy weapons? That's pretty much why we have MP5s and M4 carbines instead of laser guns.

If I am interpreting this thread correctly, the weapon is actualy designed to disrupt and peirce skrith shields and then poison the skrith with radiation behind his own energy defence (at least until those sheilds recieve their next anti-energy update)

SO let me see if I got this right. The weapon fires a slug/charge of an unstable radioactive material that has the abilty to sever molecular bonds of most anything it touches.

This allows the slug/charge to disrupt sheilds and armor and organic matter and once embedded in the target the slug/charge decays spewing nasty ionizing radation effects to the target.

Also, the air that the slug/charge passes through stays slightly hot due to ionizing radation spewing off the weapon, the trails of the slug/charge will cause damage for a few seconds because they are hot.

Once a slug/charge lodges in a target it damages the target it with radation damage as the slug/charge decays, and more slugs equal more damage.

The idea of a pop out bayonet is cool but if it is hot it would do damage to the weilder of the weapon along with the target. Pehaps you could make it a nasty wicked syringe that injects a radioactive goo directly into a struck target causing both stab damage and a lingering damage to the target. Both attacks would use some of the weapons ammo, and you have to admit a large neelde popping out of the front of the gun would look way cool.

I think it should be a little smoother. I understand this is only a very rough concept, not actually something you made I am assuming, as there are just two small rectangular holes, no barrel, just something similar to what you imagined, and where, exactly, does the hidden bayonet come from?
