How about making the A73 skrith rifle a carbine/shotgun combination? Like the stinger in Unreal 1. I think it would be nice. Make it sec fire and make the thrust special fire.

I'd prefer such an effect to be it's own weapon mode, to replace the useless single-shot modes for the A73 and A42. Make it into a spread-shot kind of thing.

Own weapon mode? I ment primary fire stays as it is and the secondary fire (thrust) is replaced by a slow RoF shotgun style shot with multiple energy rays at once.

The rapid fire moves aren't very good on the skrith weapons since the projectiles are so slow compared to the human rifles (which isn't instat hit actually). I really like the design of the A73 but compared to the other BW weapons it isn't very effective. My suggestion is to make it recoilless.

The A73 is perfect, leave it alone.

If you want a skrith carbine/shotgun combination, why dont you show your support for Storm X's skrith shottie? It is more or less the same.

I prefer the skrith rifle to the M50 by far. You have to get used to how it works and accept that it isn't a long range gun.

I'm better with the A73 than the M50 by far.

I value your opinion and I don't mean to offend you, but just because one person doesn't like it or isn't very good with it doesn't mean that its attacks are useless. You just have to use it differently.

The A73 is far from useless. It's the A42 that I have problems with (though the alt-fire is okay).

The spread shot would really just work better as a weapon mode. Attacks are rather awkward on the weapon special key.

Whichever, i think that the Skrith rifle is perfect as is (maybe just a tad, small increase in how fast the projectile moves) and i doubt that the Skrith pistol will ever not be useless.

A spread attack wouldn't be any more useful, did you ever use the Stinger's alt. fire usefully? You needed to be close enough to the enemy to smell his breath in order to get enough damage in.
And which weapon type are you talking about in the last sentence? The human weapons' bullets don't have a set velocity, they are instant hit.

yes.. bullets are an instant hit.. the tracer is just effect

the A42.. in the future, we'll redesign it from scratch.. its probably the least usefull weapon we made.. but we'll be doing something to fix it later on.. whole new way of working

as for A73.. imo, it work out fine.. its diffirent, and its not unbalanced, or useless.. if someone says they no good, and someone else says they're excellent with it, then we did well in our efforts

A73 is fine as it is already so i don't see why you want a scattershot.

A42 is weak, so if scattershot was in there, maybe it could work.

My A82 is the best example of a plasma scattershot weapon, i might see how much it costs in sponsors, one of these days.

That ain't gonna happen, it would completely destroy online play. And if DC would add it for IA, the online players would start whining.

It would make sniping with the R78 even more useless. Poor thing.

I would actually not mind seeing a scatter shot to replace the single-shot firemode. The A73 is good and all, but it's rather boring. Not a lot of features. The M763 and M806 are the same way.
