When i play Ballistic weapons i see somebody (me too ) use explosives as a smoke screen.
Smoke screen is very usefull in close combat, so if my idea would be executed, the game could be more interesting.

This smoke grenade works like a T10 Toxical, but smoke is more turbid and not toxical.
Of course this grenade make more smoke than the T10 and work longer.

The T10 grenade emits smoke slowly, this one should spew it out much more quickly. Also it should be thick and big, so you can't see people trough it.

I could imagine placing a landmine in a smoke field right before the enemies jump trough.

I like the idea, but the AI bots would need to be coded to not be able to see through this smoke screen, else it's just another distraction for humans against the bots.

yeah, bots are able to see everything everywhere everytime
but ballistic weapons has been created to play with other peoples on servers not with stupid bots

This is incorrect, as I found out in my old balance threads. If multi-player was the focus, we wouldn't have massive imbalances between the weapons (that still exist today, sadly). Good news is I've ported my tweaked weapons to v2.1. There are probably tons of bugs though.

As for the smoke grenade idea, I'd rather the T10 be simply improved in its toxic smoke coverage than add a new weapon that would be useful in few situations. And the T10 could use a buff anyway. How about making it stick to players with direct hits?

Im thinking the same thing. I dont think I would feel the need to create some fog when I can do the exact same thing with cyanide gas.

I would rather see more deadly weapons, not annoying prank tools
