A871 Beam Rifle

Primary- Shoot a straight beam that can pass through enemies, but doesn't hurt the 4th person if shot through the line of people.

damage- 30-100 (headshot damage is 100)

Alt- Brings up a scope for accurate shooting

Special- uses a beam that can curve in directions due to weapon chaos which can heal vehicles and nodes, like the Link gun, does no damage to people and vehicles or when on deadly beam mode it can kill people, but over heats after... let's say 4 seconds just to make it fair for it's high damage, also it's green, LOL

damage- 50 for now, if there is an unbalancing problem, it will be changed.

Special 2- switches from healing beam mode to killing beam mode

Story- As the sniper warfare progressed, the skrith were losing troops due to headshots, and plasma head armor were obsolete due to bullets whizzing in their head, so after evaluation of their skrith weaponry, a sniper rifle was to be made, after 2 weeks of hard labor, the A872 was made with anti armor beams and a healer beam for vehicles and Terran Enhanced Nodes.

So this is supposed to be a Skrith weapon?

Yeah, i know the model isn't skrithy looking, but it's the best that fits the firemodes

A rare interesting and not overpowered idea. However it's mostly a different looking railgun with repair capability. How about making the weapon shoot a high damage-over-time constant beam instead? Perhaps with a sort of cooldown feature which limits the time you can sweep the beam. This would make it into a sniper rifle which with the disadvantage that it doesn't kill emediatly but it has close to 0 recoil which means you easily just re-aim if you miss, as long as the weapon does not need to cool down. Let's say 10 damage per 0.3 seconds and 50 damage per 0.3 seconds in the head. And the beam is green.

Sniping + Skrith = No

Really, I just don't think it's going to happen.

Kien- hmm... i could make this into a deadly beam weapon as well as a healing beam weapon.

Wait, I thought this just fired a constant death ray, but some people here suggest it fires a railgun beam.

The original idea was railgun style but my idea was constant death ray.

I looked at the original idea and did not think it was railgun styled.

I saw "link beam" further down the post and thought this applied to primary fire too. Why not? We alraedy have a weapon that fires a single spear-beam that goes through things but not a constant beam that also goes through things.

Im thinking of SX's neutron gun also.

OK, time to stop the confusion here...

This is taking best of both worlds, a beam gun with a scope that is used for long distances. while the beam is for short distances and heal/destroy vehicles and nodes so if you are still confused. I'll change it.

The Beam rifle is pretty awesome if its made as a long range one.
I'd like it that much, just like the beam rifle of my game Cosmic Break.
