I'm not much of a manga fan, but I love the colors in your desktop image, eye close-ups never shoot and miss.

Haha, yeah ! I love the eye close up (if you look carefully you see a tear in the eye, well, right, the picture there is really small) Elfen Lied was a cute manga but sometimes really bloody !
(Especially first episode and fourth episode)

As for the colors, I love the combination of black and red, and in the screen the red isn't flashing (it's important 'cause with some black and red combination you easily get a terrible headache after looking at it for just a while )

Nice with the icons up there Would look totaly cool if you change the color of the theme (Task bar, start menu, ...) to match the background

Vista's aeroglass interface would fit nicely with that picture.

From what game is this screen shot ? looks something similar to ArmA.

Its from Point of Existance 2. Its a mod made for Battlefield 2.

While i have respect for Runestorm, i think its developers must be unhuman - trying to get the BF2 engine to do anything is like getting blood from a stone.

Check out The Kapn's desktop on page 2 of this thread, it has a picture of the aero interface. I personally don't see how DirectX 10 is required to display it, but looks good never the less.

I didn't use WindowBlinds, I used the "patching uxtheme.dll" style.
But you can download the theme from here:

Insert to C://Windows/Resources/Themes

But before doing that, google for uxtheme.dll multi-patcher,
start the install, install, reboot your computer, insert the theme you want to C://Windows/Resources/Themes, then control panel>Appearence and Themes>Appearence and choose the theme.

@EnteR : True, your theme is really amazing though I prefer small icons in the task bar.

DirectX, or any renderer for that matter, has nothing to do with animations. And if a DX10 card is not installed on a Vista system, it will fall back to a DX9 interface (not aero but probably the same basic look).
Simple stuff really.

I don't want to go on VISTA, I love my XP !!!!!

But I guess, one day, I'll have to step aside of XP too
