I've become somewhat interested in this mod, especially for the advanced physics it supposedly has. I'm a bit, oh, how should I put this... Squeamish. The BMR zombies are fine, and the Zombies of Nightmare as well, but the Oblivion zombies creep me out enough that I have a tough time fighting the little buggers. How bad are the zombies, and would I fare well at the sight of them? Maybe it's just the Oblivion zombies, never managed to figure out why.

I don't play online, bu tI'm glad that I reminded you of that so other members can play it. But that still doesn't answer the question.

Not "over" gory, but some of the models are pretty disturbing, depending how "squeamish" you are I s'pose.

It's super-duper-awesome fun, but when you're alone, it's brown trousers time, when the big ol' fleshpounders come-a-head-smacking.

You can configure it if you play alone to only release the weaker zombies.

The Community patch available makes everything darker, bloodier, grittier and scarier. so avoid if it's too scary as it is.

I recommend you play online or through a LAN though, it's great fun.

your playing games that are rated Mature(17+ or w/e) yet your Squeamish? a bit ironic eh?

I have played KF and i personally dont find it scarry, i dont think its possible for something on the UE 2.5 engine to be scarry lol. well besides the poor graphics that is.... (KF and BW do make good use of the engine tho)

You should be able to stick it out. The Fp's well....lets say it gets your adrenaline rushing when theres 10 of them and your shotgun ammo just ran out. I found the Sirens pretty disturbing, the Zeds as well.

Only with those blasted corpses. I'm fine with everything cept' Oblivion zombies, but I haven't played much with zombies. In a short list:

About to start using Zombies of Nightmare

By the way, I currently use Bloody hell and have begun using perma blood. Blood and gore is fine, just zombie
And I believe I saw a concept of the Fleshpounder. Wierd looking thing, with hammers on it's hands and head. Oh, and are their destructible environements, and how well does stacking furniture against openings do against the more average enemies?

stubbs the zombie is a cartoon.... the games one big laugh.
zombies of nightmare is nothing.... just some bland looking monsters chasing you around.

there is not much to destroy in KF, you can weld doors and stack furniture. i dont think it does much really.

Even though Stubbs is cartoony (And hilarious), the gore is pretty nasty. Not very nice to rip somne's arm off, beat them with it, eat it and convert them into a zombie....

I've mustured the guts up to download this. Now, is there anything creepy in the install process, or the menu? Would just like the heads up...

Edit: Nvm. *Disgusted noises* Looked at the site and checked the enemies' section. Just one look at the distant pictures outisde the actual profiles and I thought "No." Guess I'm sticking with BMR then

The current version of BMR doesnt even scratch the surface of Killing Floor. i think BMR is dead.... but i hear now and then they are progressing or something.

Well, I was averse tiwards getting near BMR zombies, but now I run over and bash the lil' buggers skulls in happily. May end up the same with Killing Floor. Of course, BMR zombies don't have guts hanging out of them, but oh well. By the way, does welding doors and stacking furniture really do anything?

Just hope I don't rise from the grave to eat your brains And temporarily? How so? As in, they find another way around? Or they bust it down? Does it depend on enemy?

if you want to overcome your fear, try Doom 3 or something

*Sigh* Alright, I will be downloading this soon. As for the plastyle... erm, welding all the doors, barricading them with furniture, hiding behind another barricade, and pulling out mah huntin' shotgun And if I end up a zombified corpse from fright, then you guy's will be the first on my list of zombie-conversion

Second Edit: I've asked mulitple times and gotten somewhat cryptic answers. Does door-welding and furniture barricades stop enemies? Will they break through, how long may it take, and will they break through it part-ways first or will it just immediately become useless in stopping them?

yes.... they will eventually break through the door.....
i would say that it takes any where from a minute to maybe 2.5.

but i havnt played KF in a while so im not sure lol.

Gyeah.... Freaky loading screen. Honestly, this will take a while. I'll probably chicken out multiple times, think of doing, uninstall, reinstall, and so on and so on for a while before gaining the guts to actually get onto it Again, I say freaky loading screen. Any way to remove it?

Edit: Despite my spinlessness, I'm going to try a match with NORMAL zombies only. None of the freakier ones, like the Fleshpounders, Sirens, and those freaky spider things, I think they're called zeds. Hopefully, this time I will get past the game actually booting up....

Zombies aren't scary, world outside your flat is scary, dont know what may happen tomorrow, and zombies, fat chances you will meet one in your life, so nothing to worry about.

It's not so much zombies, but certain styles. I blow up a guy wit a G5? I jump for joy at the stylish kill. a BMR zombie sneaks up? I have a quick "Ooh!" from being startled before bashing it's skull in. The more graphic ones, however, horrbily mutilated, ripped-open walking corpses...That's when I get skitterish.
