Ok, I want to point out that I dont nessesarily want this added to BW. This is my own project i have been working on. The X82A2 is a sniper rifle i created a while back in order to create a more realistic hardcore sniper for my server. The main idea was it was only accurate with scope, and did massive damage (95) and a headshot could kill you nomatter how much hp or armor you had. It also had a need to be reloaded after 6 shots.
Anyways, I've been thinking it was time to remake it, making it operate better and more realistic. I am hoping that you guys at BW could help me make this act like a BW weapon, with the recoil/reloading/inaccuracy and all. Can you guys help me creat a stand-alone weapon with the characteristics of a bw weapon?

If you get proper reload and cocking animations, this will be very easy to port into BW.

Oops, didn't notice this earlier. Sure, get the model & animations and stuff like that in UEd and I'll help you get it into BW 's style.

I can also hook you up with some hands I worked on. Might need work still, but they are a pretty good start, just give me the format you want, and provided it isn't for Maya PLE, I can give you them to use (mention of my work in a readme would be nice if you go this route).

James, believe it or not, the first texture for this was made all in MS paint by my friend, but since then has been edited and modified constantly into what you see now. Depending on what you need and time allowed, I could help with a texture.

Since the first picture posted, i made a slight change to the rear sight, nothing much really, and i made a few pics of the finished rifle.

This should give a better look on how the rifle looks.

Basically, all you need is an Idle, Pullout, Putaway, Reload, Cock, and Fire.

Thats all that the R78 has, I imagine yours wouldn't be too terribly different. Of course, if you want extra things like melee attack for example, you'll need more, but pretty much if you got fire for primary and scope for secondary, thats it.

Heh, Melee would actually be a nice option. As it was, the rifle was terribly inaccurate while not scoped (purposely) but became annoying when one got to close to an enemy, and you would need a damn fast hand to go to scope mode (which reduced movement speed by 1/2) and shoot before they did the same, or randomly shoot until u get lucky and hit them, or the shell casing ends up killing your enemy (yes, the ejected brass were deadly if touched)
Anyways, a melee option might be nice, but then we would have a problem with having a fire/scope/melee button. Probably too complicated, better leave that for the unscoped version.

Well, ballistic weapons has a scope key as well asthe two fire modes. Try and of the scoped rifles and hit the Iron Sights key. It'll go into scoped mode, so that might be a viable option if you still want to go with melee for it.
