Well I know how he feels. I was just banned from this clan forum I started visiting just days before. I got into an argument with a fundie creationist about evolution, who unfortunately was an admin. I was really civil about it too. I guess he doesn't take kindly to having his beliefs challenged by random internet people.

The worst part was that he was using his forum to basically parrot creationist beliefs to his clan members, while grossly misrepresenting the evolutionist side, misinterpreting what I say as an attack on his religion, while throwing links to clearly biased pro-creationism websites as "proof".

Sorry, off-topic, but I had to vent.

This guy had the works. Adam + Eve, world is 6000 years old, the Flood really happened, dinosaurs clashed with Medieval knights, "Just a theory", no "missing links", vast evolutionist conspiracy, etc. It's like he read every single creationist argument, even the weakest ones, and is just parroting them without even once pausing to give thought. And his clan members are just lapping it all up. Then I come in, start kicking his ass intellectually, and then he bans me. Coward.

I'm just gonna stop here. It's making me angry.

It surprising how frequent that unquestioning belief is in these subjects. People would fight to the death about something they read without even thinking about it, they just accept it.

What he did is pretty cowardly, but just think about this, you've got yourself a target next time you and him are on the same server.

I'm one of "Middle men" on the topic. I believe in a greater being, and that SOMETHING made things, but after that, he/she/it/they really just kind of let nature take it's course, occasionally meddling.

Anyways, it's not too unlikely that SOMETHING along those lines fought with them. There are legends all across the world of dragons, many of them vastly similar, so who's to say they weren't real, or still are or aren't? Just one of those unsolvable mysteries.....

Well, the creature that got banned here did quite a bit more than dissagree with the admins/mods.

Compared to his choice of language during the worst outbursts, that would have been a very nice thing to say.

If you want to see really abusive admins... pay good attention to facepunch.
They even made a thread where if you post in it you get a immediate perma-ban.

They could just lock it...

The internet is full of great people, but also full of morons. And sadly quite a few of those get some sort of control over a forum or website.

That thread was Designed to be used specifically to ban people.It was a trap.

Well, the internet is a very strange place indeed. It is very hard to find mature people these days. It seems like telling someone to go rape their mother is the new "thing." Maybe we should call this time the Weak Insult Era. All people can do is try to say something offensive, but easily penetrable by the educated mind.

Plus, the people who usually call others gay and fag probably have no where to turn in reality. I actually sympathize for those guys. Since they get a major ass-whooping in real life, they take it out on people that they will only interact with for 10 minutes of their existence. Good old losers.

Why yes, I know him. He is pretty annoying on the vent server I go to.

I believe one time I was on there, he was talking about how runestorm banned him, and was talking smack about you guys.

I think he is around my age (16 yrs old), though he needs to control himself better.

Reguardless, he needs to control himself better (if it was him that was banned in the first place (It all made sense when I saw this thread) ).
