Lemme break down the various stages for you.

For the various concept stages:

Concept- Basic idea is made, but designs and other areas need fleshing out. Is in need of concept art.
Mid-Concept- I have a pretty good idea what it's going to be, but I probably am not fully set on its appearance yet.
Post-Concept- Is waiting to be modeled.

For modeling stages:

Model Roughed- Model is roughly done. Basic idea is there, but still needs work.
Model Done- Model is done. Ready for next steps.

Now for the work flow on what is to be done after modeling is done (in the order I do it in):

UV mapping- This is setting up the model to be textured.
Rigged- Animation prepping precedures is done.
Animated- It is animated and now ready for export.

After the model and anim(mation)s are exported, it is in the various release stages:

Alpha- It is in UT2004 but not all features are added yet.
Beta- It is in UT2004 and all features are added in- for the most part.
Gold- Object is in UT2004 and thoroughly tested and cleansed of any bugs. Ready for release.

New hand textures? Speaking of hands the original hands and arm textures look wierd.

lol, those are the default textures set by Unreal Editor.

hopefully hes implying to the BW hand textures and not the plain rendered hand and arm that Xav is showing off.

Yes, yes. Some people like to create new and interesting ideas for weapons, others like to actually make weapons.

Hope that thing blocks bullets

Assuming you're talking about the shield, of course it blocks bullets. It blocks just about anything you'd expect a shield to block.

Word of advice: Flamethrower guys suck when you got the shield out. Same goes for T10 Toxin Grenades.

You don't move very fast with the shield out, and you can't really defend yourself from those attacks...

And who cares if UT2004 is old? Maybe some peopel can't afford a new rig that can run new generation games. My computer is pushing it even on Doom 3, and thats with shadows turned off.

Yes I miss ut99 a lot. Especially monster hunt (why dont people ever make something like monster hunt for ut2004? It would match so well with BW.)
