If that is the lightning gun reincarnated, I prefer the old one for looks. Having said that, I like the new lightning effects better. And if it isn't a LG, well all the better then. However, it does appear to be the LG, since it has an overheat meter over the ammo.

True but If its ballistic weapons their doing then that would be in the energy weapon class, which is the link gun class. Need not to mention they seriously from the look of the "Lighting Gun" It was given a serious overhaul and If I were them that was probably what they wanted the original LG to look like. But It looks very Refined non the less

I reckon this will be a sort of preliminary release, therefor since there will likely be little content, the weapons will have to fit in with the other UT3 guns. Playing constantly with only one available weapon would get boring eventually.

So, it may seem that they'll release a "UT" like weapon set first before jumping into larger projects, Like Ballistic for that matter.
