Hey at the moment i am just downloading the GRAW2 demo. Do any of you have the game, and if so is it any good?

GRAW2? I have not even heard of GRAW1!

Its an OK game, but nothing special.

I got GRAW with my 8800GTX for free... tried it, and hated every minute of it.

Ok, just finised playing a bit of the demo. you ever heard of the term an unpolsihed gem... Welll this is the opposite. It is a polished... bit of gravel.

I like telling my men what to do and then watching it happen in first person real time... but that is it... Im dissapointed... I need a new game and im not prepared to wait for stalker...

Reccomend anything?

Thanks Raziel ill have a look at those two. unfortunately Tyster i alreadys have COD4 and UT3 and my PC cant quite handle crysis (I have the Demo).

Crysis isn't too much more demanding than UT3 as far as I've noticed.

Yeah, what Bjossi said, until you load it up in Vista and set things to ultra high. My friend's comp, which can handle UT3 at 60FPS at highest 1680x1050, can handle Crysis almost as well with all settings on high, but FPS drops to about 20 with settings on ultra high, mostly due to the shaders. he showed me the difference, comparing scenery at high and scenery and ultra high and I had to take it on faith that there was a difference.

You can't talk about high details when you don't use 4x Anti Aliasing. That's the factor what makes game so demanding. As far as i know, there is no computer that can run Crysis on high details. Classmate of mine has 9800GTX, Quadcore on 4.5GHz and 4GB of RAM, and even then it's not possible to run it on high details (with AAx4 that is). I'm curious what the GeForce280 will bring us.

Erm i have Geforce 8600 gt and can barely play crysis on medium settings. However, I can Play UT3 on maximum and it plays without any noticable slowdown apart from on maps like Shrift or alpine.

Yeah, because AA eats up resources like delicious candy. In a revolutionary game, AA is going to be a troublemaker for a long time. Don't even get me started on AA + HDR/bloom.

I know all about it. I just find it annoying that there's people claiming they can run Crysis on high details, and stubbornly keep saying that while they clearly have no idea what they're talking about.

crysis doesn't run very well. Downlaod the Demo if you not sure.

High details is not the same as max details. If the player in question can run it well, then that means no AA is being used with the high settings. Simple as that. On the other hand some gamers probably got PCs with two 9800 GX2 in SLi mode, state of the art stuff that is ridiculously expensive.

Funny, with that you can't run Crysis on max details. The game is a huge memory leak i suppose.

From my EGM magazine, Killzone 2 has one returning member in Alpha squad (Guess). Blacksite is not worth it.

Buy Gears of War (PC).

I play Crysis with ~medium settings, no AA/AF @ 1280 x 1024 with smooth performance, and that is with a 7900 GTX, lowly A64 X2 4400+ and 2 gigs of memory. I would consider that pretty decent for a computer over 2 years old.

And how do you know a state-of-the-art PC can't max out Crysis? Have they done a benchmark like that already?
(by state of the art, I mean a computer consisting of the most advanced hardware of today; 2x9800 GX2, 8 GB memory, you get the idea)

2x 9800GX2 isn't state of the art. That would be GeForce280 in triple SLI setup. So far that's the only card i know that can run Crysis maxed out since it's the newest generation at the moment. All other cards just failed.

Search youtube,there is at least one guy who did it and to get a decent framerate he had to use a quad graphics card setup.On the benchmark.

4xAA is not quite the same as max details. Though I see what you mean, dunno why I didn't see the context in the above post at first.
