I'm not that stupid, its is in with the superweapons. The wasp comment comes from my test round that I run for all new weapons. Arena with inf ammo.

(seriously though, whats the point of the secondary fire on the SM-AT/AA? The primary hits instantly and I keep trying to use secondary as the scope.)

The blast radius on the detonation is very big. The detonation is also usable on the move. Since the primary fire is only one shot, the detonation is useful for killing crowds or suicide bombing important objectives.

The suicide will probably get an upgrade sometime in the future to make accidental detonations less frequent.

I really don't recommend making parts of the texture invisible, as it would look really weird when you pick up UDamage.

Just find a way to incorporate it into the design. Maybe add a blue glow to the tip, or make it translucent and double-sided or something.

IMO,U damage effects aren't important if you have to go out of your way to make it work.

It is just 30 seconds of odd U damage time,and at this point I'd rather focus on gibbing everyone.

Besides,no matter what you do I think U damage altogether looks ugly.

It's not just the UDamage. Any kind of overlay will do it. I believe the same effect happens when someone shines the MRS138's tac light on it.

Today we'll be featuring the HMC-117 Volatile Photon Cannon!





Background: The HMC 117 Volatile Photon Cannon, often nicknamed 'The Sentinel', was created originally as a tool for testing heat shielding on space craft. Due to its general lack of a reliable heat output, the HMC was scrapped in favor of other testing methods. Deemed an overall failure, somehow a variant of this bulky device managed to find its way onto the field and proved to be quite effective at taking out Cryon units. Its chargeable capacitor banks allowed it to tackle even the most hardened Cryons. While the original HMC power cells are long gone, Nexron modified versions can successfully run on HVPC power cells.


Primary Fire: Charged Photon Blast.
Secondary Fire: Sweeping Plasma Beam.

I presume that all these new weapons it has it's own sounds....

Minor thing, but don't charged attacks usually go to the alt-fire? Perhaps they should be reversed.

I was vaugely thinking of reversing the two, but Xav and your charging code seemed to be directed mainly at the primary fire.

I personally think the laser is better as secondary; its rate of ammo consumption is far too high for common use.

Yeah, I tried to make it for alt fire initially as well, but it wasn't working too good. Dunno.

But I agree with Kelly, its much better suited for primary fire.

I don't know how much skill you have but a nice thing would be to have a spiral effect to that beam weapon. Like the energy weapon in HL. :}
