I was curious to know what you guys want in the next RS project:

1.I want a BW port NOW!!!(i.e, without new weapons, just the old guns in the new engine)

2.I want a BW port soon, but with new effects/sounds.(same as above, but the weapons get updated with new effects by the engine.

3. I'll wait for BW with the old weapons plus more created for UT3(all of them with new effects, sounds...)( if you want BW with new weapons, but still getting the old weapons)

4.I want a complete set of new weapons, but within the BW universe.(if you prefer new weapons over the old BW weapons, like a new shotgun instead of the M290, etc).

5.I want new weapons from another universe.

6.None of the above(write what you want)

to me, all of them are good...

What do I want in the next RS project?

Well, what I want something that the RS developers are genuinely interested in developing, produced at a rate that the RS developers find acceptable, and with quality that would get the RS developers some well-earned money from the MSUC. Although, come to think of it, I have not seen a single custom vehicle for UT3...

1: We already have two RS weapons that are kind of similar to BW. So what I propose is not a D49 knockoff, but moreover an entirely new revolver that is still kick ass like the D49. Anyone hear of the HE .44 Revolver?

2: A ultra awesome sniper rifle, because while the UT3 one is great, but if RS made it better, all greatness will come.

3: BW vehicle, I say a minigun tank would be pure ownage.

4: Um... A new BW gametype?

I want RS to make more weapons for UT3. One at a time would be good enough, but it would be badass if we got an entire arsenal with one of the MSUC phases.

Speaking of which... I became aware of Runestorm's existance during the time of v1.7 of BW, shortly before 2.0 came out. Does anyone who has been here significantly longer know if the thirty-some weapons came out one at a time or all at once after years of work?

One at a time is closer to reality, but they actually came few at a time with each major release.

RS to release a digusting gore system for UT3.

How about trying to create an import ut2004 to UT3 program.

few at a time spread out over the releases. There was a few releases with only a couple, and some releases with quite a lot. Weapons was not the only thing, there was other features as well in the releases.

When I play UT3 I just dream about how much fun the game could be with a gore system that doesn't suck.

I don't see anything especially wrong with it. It doesn't have bullet wounds like in HL2, but it does have some good gibs that look like distinguishable pieces of carcases from your victims. You can always use gibalicious to p the gore factor.

It is still vastly inferior to the BW gore system in terms of mechanics. The look is alright, but it could have been so much better.

RS know how to bring the best of things into the daylight (weapons, gore, you name it) so I would love if they gave UT3's gore system an overhaul.

The funny thing about the crappy gore system & the way they make the announcer say crap like F ya, is I needed my freaken ID to buy it...

Wait, UT3 has no impact decals on player models?

I don't think it has such things on the player models. I can recall in HL2, for example, you shoot a baddy somewhere and you see a bloody bullet hole wherever your bullet hit. I don't see such in UT3. Just random blood spurts.

As for that gore.. well we really want to do it, but we'll have to fit it in somewhere..
