Methinks Sgt. Kelly should coordinate with fische11 on how their Barretts would balance out (in terms of damage, reload speed and movement speed reduction).

Suggestion:
Since fische11's Barrett is bolt-action, it should reload a tad slower than Kelly's, but a bit of increase in damage should make up for it.

Though collaborating with Fische11 on the Barretts would be nice. It all depends on whether or not he wants to. I'm fine with sharing code snippets - Captain Xavious and I already do it.

I'm making minor adjustments to the guns while the X82 gets its animations done.

Right now I'm waiting just like you guys.

Why don't you release the weapons that are already completed, like the minigun first, then release the sniper later?

Because that will complicate everything. I'll have to rename all the files and code references to give them all new packages to avoid version mismatches. People may download the latest version and be forced to roll back from patching problems. Many things could go wrong.

It would be a lot simpler to release the whole pack as one. Besides, the more time it takes to import the animations into UT2004, the more time I have to bugfix. Every day yields improvements and updates.


The release would go a lot quicker if I could get help too, you know. Please contact Wangtang and Xavious if you know about importing hand animations from 3dsmax.

I mean...First you release the Minigun,we play with it,we love it,and now we got bored of it,you then release the sniper,we play with it,we love it,and we got bored. The animation bug has been fixed and the gun is extremely near completion! All that's left is the mounted model and then this puppy will be done and released!

This is going to be a holiday release, so the date will be no later than Christmas. If the mount model is not done by then I will simply crop mounting out and remove it.

I say get rid of it. There's really no reason to have it on there, and would just be inconsistent with the Railgun.

Bipods are for mounting. Barretts are typically used while mounted (prolly because the recoil would break your bones).

Keep the bipod.
