hmm I don`t know much about the iron sight but there is already a mod where iron sights are added.

If you mean the ironsights for this pistol..... yeah of course you will be able to use the ironsights.

oc mentioned earlier about a pack of his. i havent heard any mention of it so where is it cos i didnt know anything about it at all.

everything looks great with the models and animations iv just thouhgt though with the skins are you going into enough detail to put scratch marks and chips on them?

I already make some scratches but in the video you dont see them that good

If you still got this problem, try renaming the root bone for the left arm to I believe Root01. I don't remember exactly what the name was, but if you look in UEd, you can display the bone names by pressing one of the buttons. Look at the handguns in there and you should get the exact name of the bone.

We announce that the Betta will be a closed one. It seems to me that thats much better because some of you just want to have the pistol. Someone once said that its a bad idea releasing an open Beta because it then will get boring. So we will release the whole pack when its finished.
If some of you really want to TEST those weapons, you can write a PM to me or fische11. Also tell us why you think you want to test them.
Sgt Kelly also did it like that and I think its a better idea.

Now work is going on very fast as we dont have to work for school right now. The animations of the M99 are almost finished. A video will be avaliable tomorrow. That 50.cal cartridge looks huge in the hands . I really like that single shot thing because putting that cartidge into the chamber just looks cool.

So you can expect the video a bit later. But not that late.. one or two days. Beta will be avaliable on monday.

Ok here is a video of the M99. It's low quality and has no sound due to some youtube problems. However fische11 will post the high res video with sounds as soon as it's uploaded.
The laser on that rifle still has bugs in that video, but they're history now thanks to Sgt.Kelly's help!!!
The texture on the rifle also is better now and the Beta is very close now. It's shiny now and the scope to face path also works now.

Okay, that thing is pretty freakin' sweet.

The laser sight on a sniper rifle is pretty dumb, though. No offense, but the only thing a laser dot is going to do is give you away.

Thanks . Hmm yea you might be right, however it's sometimes usefull in colse combat (yea i know it's not good for close combat lol). But what do you think about the melee function?

Looks BRILLIANT! Only suggestion I have for the moment is to fix the scoping stuff, you are focusing your eyes just forward more, and not through the scope. That should be a code problem, not an anim problem, though. I think it's just sight offset you gotta mess with.

Change the death messages, they're using the R78A1 sniper rifle ones.

Other than that, It's ok.

While the laser sight may seem silly, they help out a lot in UT2004. It allows you to effectively eliminate chaos after moving simply by moving the gun around.

I've considered adding a laserdot to the X-83 many times, but have kept it off because it would make the gun too effective at mid-range combat.


The M99 looks great, by the way. Can't wait to try it out.

How will this gun be different from the X83? It seems to be the same thing, but as a bolt-action with no magazine or bipod.

Ok, I guess there's a melee function, but we already have a knife, sword, stabby claw things, and soon, a chain-axe for that sort of thing.

Lol i knew someone would say that.... Thats why it has special ammo (and now don't tell me thats unrealistic, as all BWs are very futuristic. Really, I'm not keen on a discussion like that) And that makes it a bit stronger, then Sgt.Kelly's one. Sgt Kelly also thinks that that's ok.
Thats the discription i wrote to avoid things like that:
In the 21st century the M99 was an effective long range sniper rifle, with a high penetration power. During the Skrith wars however the M99 lost its relevance due to its slow fire rate and old ammunition. Weapons like the M75-TIC Railgun were far more effective and feared. In the middle of the war the production of the M75 was too expensive to arm every sniper with it. Thus Enravion Combat Solutions started to do researches on how to improve old firearms and they succeeded. The M99-ECS was the result. Many improvements like better materials, and a high quality scope made the rifle useful again. The major improvement however was the ammunition. The new 55.cal ECS armor piercing round easily penetrates concrete wall, with minimal deformations. Due to its nano coating the 55.cal ECS projectile glides through the air with minimal aerodynamic drag. This way it keeps its high V0 over long distances. Even though it is not as affective as the M75-TIC the M99-ECS got a reasonable alternative to the M75-TIC. The Single-Shot design, however remains the big disadvantage of that weapon.

And PLEASE don't tell me that that's unrealistic. Did you notice that you have been running down all things we made here. This is unrealistic and that isn't interesting... that's unnecesary, now cut it out! If you have some suggestions, well then tell them but if you just want us to stop working on the pack (that's what I think then well....). We started to make the whole thing because we just like those weapons and thought it would be fun having them ingame. I don't want you to compliment me on that work but just to post someting that could be of help even if it's someting negetive. Like everyone else does here. If someting looks bad on a gun then well say it. Thats useful. I know that you don't like the pack, but I can't do something against it and I also don't care about it. I was writing the whole text like that just because I knew YOU would complain about the disutillity of the M99. But I don't think it helped as it's still the same model and because it might be impossible to shoot such a big round.
