That's probably a good thing. This is a very strong sniper so you should have to work to get it aimed correctly.

Well yeah, but the sniper still shouldn't have a limited turn speed all that much. Powerful it may be, but it also is lighter than something like the M75, which allowed for faster turns for me. I might just have to get used to that little bit...

Balance Issue for M99: The gun seems to have quite low penetration for a 50 cal sniper that can take out tanks somewhat quickly. I'd say to give the gun a wall penetration value of around 128 or so. IIRC, 50 cals can penetrate about 5 feet of reinforced concrete walls, so 128 is maybe 6 foot. And penetrations work around normal concrete for the base IIRC, so it'd penetrate a bit more than reinforced concrete.

There's nothing magical about a .50 cal round that will let it damage tanks and take down aircraft in one or 2 shots. It's just a big, half-inch wide chunk of lead that goes really fast. Even if it was a fancy HE round, it should take more than a few rounds to bring something like a Raptor down. And it still shouldn't do anything to a tank.




That's way too high. Maybe if you had a pile of ammo boxes and some time to kill, but not in a single shot. Even an AP round would probably be only be able to penetrate a few inches of solid concrete.


Of course, BW isn't particularly realistic anyway, so it's all moot.

EDIT: I think UT2k4's conversion rate for UU (the unit for measuring distances in UE games) to meters is 52.5 UU per meter. So 6ft about 96 UU.

Well, whatever 6 foot is, I think it'd be better off penetrating that far. The M50's 5.56mm bullets penetrate like... 1 foot of concrete anyways. The Railgun does that huge 256 amount so... yeaahhh... it's not like even 140UU is too much to ask for, but I do think 100 or so is good too.

Well the M925 and R78 penetrate 48 UU, so something around that range would be more reasonable (compared to the other guns). So 64 or something.

the bullet can even cloak!
but I think it should penetrate more than the R78A1, since it's a 55. cal and is a enhanced bullet with Nanotechnology.

What's the distance? I seem to never get a bullet past many objects at all, but it might be my settings for seeing what I've done (decals are off ATM).

Thats pretty sick! It looks like you did a mix up of the Tavor, SA-80 and Aug 9mm. I only thought you were doing a sniper rifle and pistol though, you had more planned?

I will add a few more weapons, like the M7A3 and the 552 Commando. I found a model for the 552 Commando in the internet so it is already finished. Jack has nearly finished animating.
Maybe I will add some sort of nonreturnable rocket launcher.

This pack will contain 5 weapons, but 4 of them are 90% finished. I think fische will quickly finish the rocket launcher and animating also wont take longer then a day.

Yea the weapons are both for BW and KF (they are balanced for KF). Our BW to KF mod will contain 2 versions:
1.) all BW
2.) Just the weapons out of the weaponpack

Tell Abyx that model really should have been in KF since the start, it's in the same texture style as KF weapons for the most part.
