Holy... I'm honestly thinking you guys should get like... contracts to design weapons for actual real world use. Did you guys combine the S-AR12, SRS900, and R78 for it in your ideas?

but I have a question: will the Crucible come as a series of mutators like BW or as a TC? or both, beginning with mutators then becoming a TC?

thanks guys! But i'll say that we have done even better since these weapons that i have shown so far Many, many hours of work for each. 40+ hours for the Sniper textures but as much as 70 for some newer ones

It is bolt-action yes.

It would be very cool to be weapon contractors. Something we've wanted to do for a while.

As for how the Crucible wil be implemented. Can't say much, but it might start life as a mutator, at least to get the guns in

though it was bizarre that the model don't had a scope... but you could use it...
and yeah, perhaps RS got some inspiration by the U1 sniper, maybe unconsciously.

hey, I have a question about The Crucible...
will it include BW mechanics(reloading, cocking, firemodes...) or will it be focused in a UTish gameplay?

if it's like BW, do you think that it's possible to create 3rd person animations for reloading, etc?

I don't play UT3 too much,I find UT2004 to be better than UT3 even if its outdated and uses a DX8 based engine.

UT2004 uses DX9, although not the entire feature set.
Also, why would an "outdated" game be worse than a newer one just because it is older?

Well about the Crucible weapons: It will be quite similar to BW, with Realoding, recoil, and 3rd person loading anims are planned for the final game. But it's also supposed to be alot more action oriented. Currently, we have something good going, and you'll be able to see it eventually. Chaos has been cut from the Crucible though. So running doesn't destroy your aim so much.

We're using a health-regen system rather than entirely pickups. It helps to keep the fights going, with more action May change, may be optional, we'll see how it goes.

The new breed of guns, is really far better quality than BW models. And the ones not shown here yet, are even better than the Sniper

About how many hours go into each stage of developing a weapon through each stage, from start to finish?
